as the title says, just want to check whats the best fan layout for the case? ive got 7 Lian li AL120 fans to use and was gonna put 3 on bottom, 3 on top for intakes and the last one on the rear as exhaust but on my current PC build i have the same configuration but with EK fans and it still got fairly dusty, honestly thought that having more intakes than exhaust would make it so theres less dust entering the computer so any tips and advice here is welcome, thanks in advance!

after playing God of War for a few hours while monitoring a power meter, it was drawing close to 700 watts so im gonna get the silverstone 1000w plat SFX PSU to be better safe than sorry

Not seeing any spikes in the software while playing God of war, will hook up a power meter to the pc in a bit to see what happens

Gonna try out different games today with GPU-z, afterburner and precision x open and monitor the wattage and volts to see if it spikes

Keep getting conflicting information, few people have said yes, psu calculators have said s it's fine but there's also people saying no, honestly still lost

gonna contact the PC shop and see if i can swap the Corsair SF750W for the Cooler Master V 850W gold SFX PSU or go to the extreme and get the Silverstone 1000W SFX-L PSU

The lian li mini only uses sfx PSUs

I did buy the corsair sf750 watt which is 80+ platinum but now thinking I should've gotten an 850 and think there's only really 80+ gold 850 sfx PSUs

havent sent it yet since local post office isnt posting overseas at the moment due to covid and the temp of the GPU die does get to 80c but got no idea about the rest of the card since its just a small fan blowing air onto them which has me worried in the long run

since my 3090 is currently getting RMA'ed i have to use the old 980Ti but sadly ages ago the fans decided to fall off and since have been using an nzxt kraken g12 with a corsair h55 which doesnt work that well, gpu gets up to 80c and worried about something else overheating so thought id see if anyone here might have an idea on replacing the fans for the air cooler or maybe an idea on ghetto mounting some other case fans to the air cooler till i get the 3090 back, thanks in advance!

got an evga 3090 ftw3 ultra and was playing new worlds earlier and got black screen with 100% fans had to restart using the case button, after first hearing the issue when new world was in beta i used nvidia control panel to put on a 300FPS cap for all games, also i tried the open beta and never had any issues but some of the temps were getting high(evga precision x1 program can view the iCX temp sensors) think one of the modules went up to 70+c?, after the restart i sent off a ticket to evga to see what they say before launching any games incase something dies just hope they respond soon

well it might not matter after all, think new world has claimed my 3090, got black screen with fans at 100% and had to restart using the case button, have sent a ticket into evga to see what their advice is before playing anymore games, awesome

forgot all about that lol, thanks, will give it a try for now but in the future i might replace the fans and get lian li uni fans instead

edited the main post, am gonna download 3dmark and run some of its benchmarks and see if the whine happens, was using rivatuner to cap fps and the max it can cap is at 480 which did stop the noise when using msi kombuster phong donut vulkin or openGL, without a cap it normally runs at 2k+ fps when the whine was happening so gonna see if 3dmark can change anything or i might have to put on an fps cap at like 300fps or something from now

is there anything i can do to get rid of it? it only started happening today after 6 months of use, while googling it someone said that reinstalling the drivers solved it for them but it didnt work for me at least also would watercooling the card help the issue at all cause i do plan on doing that eventually. thanks in advance EDIT: kept happening when opening up the phong donut in opengl and worse in vulkin on msi kombuster EDIT 2: with gpuz the perfcap reason sometimes says VRel, reliability voltage could that mean its possibly the psu causing it? 3900x gigabyte x570 aorus master evga ftw3 ultra 3090 seasonic focus plus platinum 850w

guessing for gigabyte its called temperature interval? i did set the fan curve to 60% for now, its audible and bearable, when im free next ill try to set the fan curve to something else and increase the temp interval to something higher then default and play a game to see how it reacts

im currently using a gigabyte x570 aorus master, will be getting a monoblock for it once ive saved up enough to watercool everything

currently have the cpu fan speed set to 60% in bios, does get up to the 80c when gaming though
