  1. Anyone wanna throw out some prices on what to offer it at? I know it's a few years old and bit on the heavy side but want a decent price on it

  3. ok ill post it in the classifieds when im ready to post it there and will also post it onto a local classified ads website
  4. just getting a new HDD so people wont recover any of my data from it and the current HDD in it is a 1TB 5400RPM drive. and probably wont sell advertise it on the forums cause im in australia and dont think theres that many australians on here and i rather not post it in case it gets damaged
  5. so thought id try something different on the forums, im planning on cleaning and selling an alienware laptop i wasted money on back when i was starting into PC gaming and didnt have a clue on what was good and what was bad, this laptop costed me over $3000 AUD from Alienware a few years back and since then ive upgraded to my beast of a PC (i hope...) and now want to clean it up a bit and sell it off to someone and for a bit of extra pocket money. first things first, go through the files and get off it anything i want to keep, pictures, documents, files of a sensitive nature COMPLETE! second: find a new 7200RPM HDD to put into it and load a fresh copy of windows 7 onto it third: clean it up, clean the dust from around the keys on the keyboard, clean the dust off the fans, thinking of replacing thermal paste but may not go into that extreme of cleaning fourth: asking the amazing community on here for different prices on which to sell it for fifth: take some glamour shots and advertise it around the place sixth: wait for that right seller that will take it off of my hands EDIT: first step is complete, now onto the second step. EDIT 2: just ordered the new WD black black 500GB 7200RPM HDD, now while i wait to clean up the insides and make it perform better, hopefully EDIT 3: new HDD just arrived now to get a bit of free time to pull it apart and do some cleaning and replace the HDD some pictures when i first opened it up http://imgur.com/fgt0tag,vKnWnTr,sP6G0gP
  6. gonna see if i can put this into the laptop http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=210_267&products_id=26175
  7. well ill just buy a 500GB 7200RPM HDD and put that into it and see if i have a copy of windows 7 with it to put a fresh copy of it on, thanks for the help guys
  8. so am thinking of selling my old laptop for a bit of spare money and before i do that i was going to replace the hard drive so nothing can be recovered on it, you know just privacy things, and was wondering if its worth putting a SSHD into it instead of a regular old HDD in it, was gonna put a 500GB 7200RPM drive into it or a SSHD if its worth that bit of speed and be more appealing in the eyes of people that may want to buy the laptop, so any thoughts on this please?
  9. going to be making a decision solely based on which has better exclusives and maybe buy the other console for the other exclusives later on when i have some money to waste
  10. so im thinking of selling some things and buying a PS4 or an Xbox One but no idea which to choose, done a bit of research and heard that the PS4 is better specs and graphics wise, i do like not having to pay to play online but i dont like the Playstation controller, in my opinion the Xbox controller is the best controller out there, dont want to start a flame war between fanboys, i prefer PC over it all but it does miss out on some good games now n then, so which would be good to get? exclusives wise
  11. Might put a WD black2 drive in it then just sell it or if there's room put a SSS in it then copy the OS onto itBut it does a HDMI input port on it which is rare soo....
  12. yer 8GB lol mainly going to upgrade it for future proofing really if i do decide to keep it or even upgrade it so it seems better to sell it off to someone
  13. i have a desktop, just wanting a laptop so i can play games and what not when im out of the house. its a m17x R4 2 years old and was only thinking of upgrading the RAM for better performance
  14. on my old Alienware laptop (dont hate, wasnt that tech savvy when getting into PC gaming) and i was thinking of doing a bit of upgrading on it instead of buying a new laptop in a hope to save some money, when looking on the parts list of the laptop i noticed next to the RAM it said SDRAM, and im wondering is this the same as SODIMM RAM or something else entirely different? cause i was thinking of putting 16GBs of Corsair Vengeance SODIMM RAM into it and putting a WD black2 SSD/HDD combo drive in it and maybe put windows 8.1 in hopes for a bit more performance from the old laptop or i could do a few upgrades on it and try and sell it off and continue to save money for a smaller, faster and better MSI laptop
  15. ArcheAge is a fun sandbox MMORPG but gotta pay over $150 to get into the alpha
  16. cheaper to get it from newegg and get it shipped over here haha
  17. so i recently saw a review on this motherboard and i loved the way it looks and the right angled 24 pin power cable and the right angled USB 3 connector and after having a look around for it i noticed its not available in Australia and am curious as to why? it is on newegg and i think they now post international but it would cost a small fortune to get it shipped over here....so any ideas? haha
  18. Main reason why I'm looking to get a decent laptop is so I can get out n about more and still be able to play games, plus much easier to move a laptop then a PC
  19. Probably from compatibility restrictions, for example, I like the looks and features of the Samsung galaxy gear but I can't use it with my HTC
  20. looking for a nice, decent laptop for bit of light gaming (doesnt have to max out anything) and watching movies with also normal stuff umm, prefer it to be light, slim, not annoyingly bulky, decent specs, not going to break the bank, umm only looking at the moment with the intent of buying, was thinking of getting a decent laptop and maybe putting a WD black2 in it for the best of both worlds fast speed of an SSD and the mass storage of a HDD and has to be available in Australia, any ideas would be great. currently looking at the MSI GE Apache Pro 17.3in gaming notebook
  21. Favourite thing would have to be the aluminium casing, looks great
  22. i finally got it installed and working, is there anyway to restore the apps i had or do i have to redownload them? and how can i get my contacts and messages back also?
  23. have to say that the favorite thing about the G3 would have to be the buttons on the back, as you said Linus always pushing them on accident when using the phone (except with the iPhone cause those buttons are solid)
  24. im too lazy to type it all out so heres the post i made on their forum http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/96376-having-issues-installing-the-mod-on-my-htc-one-m7/page__st__20
