  4. Been over what? Its a fact that there are more men in the workplace. Nobody is arguing that, so obviously men will yield a average higher income. All I'm saying is that there is a wage gap, even if women do tend to lean towards low paying jobs or no job at all. That is also why I said "why is there such a fuss", because people can't compare wage gap between different fields of work.
  5. The wage gap has been around for over two hundred years. It's just how society functions, so why is there so much fuss about it now.
  6. They always make out these rebates to look so amazing, but if you read between the lines you still have to pay... And then sometimes the rebate doesn't even register.

  8. I would say that the CPU and GPU are balanced... I know plenty of people with this setup (i7 4790k + gtx970) but yes, I agree w/ everything else. Stay away from those green drives.
  9. if you hit above ~75-80 I would chill (no pun intended) (just kidding I meant that)
  10. 970 performs better in games and computing than the 290, but certainly not worth $120 more. Edit: Unless it has a blower-style cooler. Stay away from those.

  12. R5 not only does it have dat sexy square window, but also has a sleek Scandinavian feel too it - like many Fractal products. And the price is almost the same as the R4, with better features imo. So R5
  13. SLI is the orientation of two GPUs working together, connected by a small cable that allows them to use the computing power of both cards. Some games do not support this orientation, so it will only use one of your 980s, but it will still work very well. And for those games that do support it, it works like a charm, although some people have encountered some graphics problems once in a while with SLI. We have an SLI information guide that you can check out, it will clear up many of your questions: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/197327-the-sli-information-guide/
  14. Look. I don't want to fight this battle, but there is a small performance boost. I understand that it is not optimized for 4GB, but it is still available. Instead of a game maxing out at 2GB, it can still go above that on the Sapphire model, even if it doesn't yield a large boost. 4GB is better than 2GB when it comes to pure performance in games, on the same card architecture.
  15. Yeah a little bit, but not nearly as bad as a 6300. This build seems really lopsided. I would suggest re-allocating your budget into balancing the components.
  16. but the msi model maxes out at 2gb so why wouldn't you want a performance boost, even if very small
  17. I like the look of the G1 and performance isn't that different so whatever model you like better
  18. lol I suggest the Hyper 212 Evo and right now it is at a really nice $30 price Or if you really want to overclock hard, a AIO liquid cooler will be your best bet
