  1. I think the psu is the best because i like the red stripes and i think i havent seen a psu with this design around.
  2. Linus presents a small external PSU in this Handy Tech Under 100 Bucks video: maybe this is the right one for your project.
  3. The improvenments made from the nh-d14 to the 15 were mainly compatibility issues for tall ram modules and to compensate the lost fin space for the ram cutouts noctua widened the fin stacks so ist really only worth if you plan to use some sort of high profile ram.
  4. Here is a LinusTechTips video that should explain it for you.
  5. A motherboard fan header has between 20 and 40 Watts maximum and if you plug only 2 fans into one fan connector you should be fine since one fan has about 2-5W of powerconsumption. Also you can plug the 3 pin and the 4 pin fans into one connector, the 4 pin will be pwm controlled and the 3 pin will run on the 12vDC standart voltage.
  6. For extreme silence go with the BeQuiet ones but for an ordinary fan that moves a shit ton of air go with the Noctua fans.
  7. I think that this fire pro just looks stunning.
  8. AMD introduced a new Catalyst update and one part of it is the support for Eyefinity with different resolution monitors and even refresh rates. See here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMDCatalyst14-9WINReleaseNotes.aspx What do you guys think of such an approach to surround setups instead of nvidia surround?
  9. My friend does a lot of printing on his pc and recently his firefox tab kept hanging after he printed it. He already tried reinstalling the printer driver and other browsers with the same result. The hang can be fixed by copying the link into a new tab and reopening it.
  10. This looks like a real big power delivery problem. This card is DEAD, you wont be albe to fix this one anymore. However i dont know what caused the failure so i would check/replace my psu too so your next card wont burn off too.
  11. This looks like a bad pump or aome sort of failure in the rpm readout. I would recommend sending back this unit and getting a new one since you cant know what other failures are in this cooler if this error made it through quality control.
  12. This is a quote from the GNU GRUB manual mavbe this will help you with your problem: Operating systems that do not support Multiboot and do not have specific support in GRUB (specific support is available for Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD and OpenBSD) must be chain-loaded, which involves loading another boot loader and jumping to it in real mode. The chainloader command (see chainloader) is used to set this up. It is normally also necessary to load some GRUB modules and set the appropriate root device. Putting this together, we get something like this, for a Windows system on the first partition of the first hard disk: menuentry "Windows" { insmod chain insmod ntfs set root=(hd0,1) chainloader +1 } On systems with multiple hard disks, an additional workaround may be required. See DOS/Windows. Chain-loading is only supported on PC BIOS and EFI platforms. Also here is a link to the whole manual if you need it: http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual/grub.html
  13. Did you install ubuntu before windows8 or after since ubuntu makes you choose wich os you boot if you install it after windows8. Windows however will overwrite all boot sequences so it will be the only os to boot on that pc.
  14. Nvidia has a list of recommended routers wich will work best with game stream here: http://shield.nvidia.com/accessories-hardware/ If all else fails you will have to get one of these in order to fix the problem im afraid.
  15. Good now everything should work again.
  16. Try scanning your pc for viruses and malware since tomcat6.exe opens up a port for the internet wich can be used by other malware or viruses.
  17. Do you have a lot of background programs running because these suckers can take up a lot of cpu power and thus slow down the other things.
  18. Cooler Master Hyper 212 is one of the best budget coolers on the market imho.
  19. This looks like android macro keys! Pretty cool!
  20. Sine the AMD parts tend to use a lot of power i would go with a single, more powerful psu, since jumping psus can have a bad impact on voltage ragulation and probably hurt your system. Dont cheap out on your psu even if every psu looks the same spec wise. Here i would go with about 800-900 watts.
