  1. Wow thank you so much for the help. This is a lot of useful information, even though it doesn't solve the problem. I really appreciate your help Cheers
  2. You know how old crt monitors flash and stuff? It is like that. I don't know how to describe it exactly. I don't think it is screen tearing though
  3. Hey guys, I bought the LG34UC98 which if freesync is enabled the refresh rate could be set to 75hz. However, during some of the games and other random times, I find the monitor acts like a crt monitor. I am using the given DP cable and running crossfire 2x RX480s I have the latest driver and everything. When I turn the refresh rate down to 60hz no problems occur. Could anyone help? Many thanks
  4. Yes, sometimes happen when I game and when I'm using Radeon drivers. I haven't had issue with Chrome though.
  5. I'll try with another one. The Display Port cable included looks pretty tank tbh.
  6. Thanks for the response! For now I think the problem may be on my side. Just a feeling I'll see if anyone knows why this happens. Cable shouldn't have any problem, they are the one included with the monitor Drivers are up to date
  7. Hey all, So I found this problem with my LG 34UC98 monitor(3440x1440, supports freesync and when enabled refresh rate goes up to 75hz): The screen flickers sometime, more often when I game. I'm not sure if flicker is the right word, it's like blinking? It feels like the current is not stable or something. Anyways, I hope this makes sense and I'll glad to get some help. Cheers. P.S. Freesync is enabled. I'm running dual RX480s I think the best way to describe it is it feels like a CRT monitor when it happens
  8. Hey guys, Just a quick question on why the Pentiums still exist when there's the i3?
  9. Oh damn.... The fans on mine are pretty loud at 40% already.
  10. Originally I was planning to get only one card, I guess I'll just use stock speed till I upgrade maybe to VEGA
  11. what kind of fan RPM should I set around when its around 70 degrees?
  12. Hey guys, I have been trying to overclock my two rx480s but ran into some problems. Here is my setup: i7 6800k at 4.2GHz Asus Strix X99 4x8GB DDR4 at 3200MHz M.2 OCZ256GB Samsung 850 PRO 1TB Samsung 840 EVO 250GB Dual XFX RX480GTR EVGA 650P2 Others: Kraken X52 and two other 120mm fans inside S340 Elite The system fails when I try to increase the values of the cards just a bit (around 10%). Valley benchmark will run for 2~3 scenes before crashing depends how much I increase. I think it lasts longer when I don't adjust the voltage and power limit. The reason I listed the full rig is because I am wondering if this has something to do with the PSU. Could it because I am short of power? I do know I am using a smaller than usual PSU but I thought it is sufficient. Many thanks! P.S. The rig gets really hot and the fans on the GPU are LOUD when I game. Even playing Civ6 and Cities Skylines the fans are pretty loud in my opinion. Is there some tricks to deal with it? I played with the fan curves but the GPU gets to 70C degree and I am afraid to running low RPM
  13. According to the spec sheet: http://www.corsair.com/en/crystal-series-460x-rgb-compact-atx-mid-tower-case You should be able to fit it in the front as RKRiley points out. (2x140mm fans) I don't own the case but with my similar if not smaller size S340 Elite, I know the X62 will fit in the front.
  14. You have a valid idea but here's what I think why it won't happen. Back just two years ago gaming at 4k was a crazy thought because even most of the computers people own these days can barely handle 4k. Initially, it is only the enthusiasts and the professionals who needs/wants better panel are pushing the industry and since we already are equipped with the latest and greatest stuff, there is no need for a built-in gpu so that people with regular average rigs can use them as well. Yes I do agree that it will help maybe when I want to hook it up with my Macbook Pro or w.e but the enthusiasts won't stop buying them because their laptop can't drive it and the average people who only have a laptop or not-powerful-enough PC probably don't even know 8k is out. Eventually, by adding built-in GPUs, you are adding the cost to the potential customers and doing a favour for the people who won't be buying until 8k is as common as 1440p. Sorry my logic is flying everywhere
  15. I got it for the looks. If you really need the power to cool your cpu why not add $10 and get the X62. That is if your case fit. Also, CAM is not the best but I don't have major issue with it. I have a ROG board and the HUE+ so sometimes it gets really confusing which fan/light is controlled by what.
