I know, I have a 4790k PC at home for more demanding tasks but this is just for lightroom edits while I'm away.

Yep. I was looking at the asus ux305 but according to some people the m3 cpu isn't enough for lightroom.

I saw that but both sellers have no reviews. Never trust random 3rd part sellers

I had a look for this but I can't seem to find it in the UK... Any ideas?

I was wondering what people thought my best option for a photo editing laptop for travelling would be? I only use Lightroom CC usually and have a PC if I need to do any PS work. Ideally it would be under £700 but I could push slightly higher. Any advice is much appreciated.

$1000(USD) Laptop for Lightroom Photo Editing
T3CHKN0 replied to T3CHKN0's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Thanks! I came across this actually, I'll go have a proper look. -
I'm in the market for my first laptop (I've always prefered PCs) because I found myself wanting to edit my recent (RAW) photos while on the go, I only really use Lightroom CC and would just wait until I was home to do any photoshop work. I have a budget of around $1000 (£800) but could probably push ever so slightly more. I took a bit off my USD budget because I live in the UK and everything's more expensive here. I hate picking a laptop because there are so many options! Any help/advice is much appreciated!

After a lot of searching I think I've found a solution. Mayhems Green and Ultra Pure H20 Coolant and clear tubes. Thanks for the help though!

I had a look for a matching green coolant and found most were too far on the lime side. Although I dont mind using uv lights to make the green less limey. (The image below and any other photo I take doesn't show the green truly, it's less lime and more of a mid tone green. I used blaze green plasti dip which isn't lime at all.

I am looking into doing my first custom loop and was wondering what would be the best coolant or tubing to match my build. It's green and black and lots of it is painted with plast dip blaze green. Any suggestions? Thanks

Okay, thanks! I tried without primer and the colour was dark and had peeled before I had even touched it (which was most likely my bad painting skills). I found the primer helped the colour as it was a bright undercoat and helped it adhere.
-
I painted my GPU with Plasti dip blaze using a grey primer (the GPU was smooth and the Plasti dip wasn't adhering without primer) and I missed a spot. How can I fix this? Should I just spray the GPU and any primer over spray just recoat with Plasti Dip?

Yeah that would be the better option, although I actually found that none of them (that I used) worked particularly well with everything. Just have to make use of what we have really. TRIPLED! wow...

Ah okay, yeah they just kept getting worse each time a new one was released! Guess everyone will just have to stay on windows 7 then, or go red team!

Oh... right haha. I must say I've never went near AMD for anything. But I heard there were a few issues but I didn't look into them. Nvidia has definetely made me lose faith in them though.

Oh... my 980 would crash mid game ("display driver stopped working and recovered"). There were a lot of people getting it on windows 10. This was when it first came out though.

I upgraded to windows 10 when it first came out and stuck with it despite the constant game crashes due to the drivers for Nvidia GPUs. I then had to eventually do a clean OS installation back to windows 7. I'm now wondering what the situation is with Nvidia GPUs, are things still just as bad? I want to upgrade to 10 but I can't handle constant crashes. Any input is much appreciated!

That's not a bad idea. I'll take a look at that, thanks. I've been looking for the normal 6pin to molex cables and can't find them, anywhere apart from the cablemod cable bundles/packs. I might just get the cablemod ones cause I'd be getting them soon anyway. Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll take a look.

I have a bit of a dilemma...I have ran out of sata power cables and I have no female molex connectors (which I need for the NZXT Hue+). I am going to get a SATA power Y splitter to sort that problem but I need to find a solution to getting more connections coming straight from the PSU. I still have 6 pin and 8 pin ports left if that helps, my Power supply is the Corsair CS650M. Any help is much appreciated!
