  1. Done I didn't put the price initially because the 64 gig card also has a deal on it and was considering putting that in the title too.
  2. SanDisk Ultra 128GB microSDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter, Black, Standard Packaging (SDSQUNC-128G-GN6MA) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010Q57S62/ $32.99 Ends in 20 hours. Deal of the Day - ~20% Off
  3. Did watch that one for a while. Wasn't bad, but you had to stick for at least 2-3 of the first episodes to appreciate.
  4. I see rick and morty memes here and there. Considering it. Did watch Archer, Brooklyn Nine-Nine (seen the rest except Community) a few years back
  5. Ill limit myself to 1-3 episodes per week. I was able to watch all the Star Trek series' (~700 episodes) by rationing it so the length is no problem.
  6. Thank you for the opinions on those shows. Feels better knowing i'm not alone I did watch Family Guy for quite a while - but eventually reached a saturation point. Did finish Seinfeld - had to, it's a culture piece needed to understand the zeitgeist. Making a note to watch Modern Family and HIMYM, thanks!
  7. You guys are so mean Instead of moving the thought at least a bit you just sweep it away. *panda cry*
  8. Can it be moved? The section was "General Discussion" so .. seemed like a decent place to trigger a discussion ^^
  9. I used to like US comedies, it was a part of my balanced TV diet. I mean the ones from 2000-onward. Intentionally left Arrested Development, Community, The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm etc - unwatched just to binge when I need it. When I got to them .. well it was boring, it was as if they were made just for the people that were making them and not in a good way. As if they were told forever that everything they make is a masterpiece. I'm watching UK comedy series now, the ones from the 80's and 90's (As Time Goes By, Dinnerladies, Are you being served, Keeping up appearances, Waiting for God, Still Game, The Two Ronnies, etc) This is what I wanted US comedy to be, but it isn't and i'm disappointed.
  10. That's the thing though, isn't it? When someone gifts you something - you can't really say you can afford it - as you literally didn't do anything to get it. That's my point
  11. I'd say that you can claim to have been able to afford the CPU that you paid with someone else's money - only when you paid that money back in full
  12. Nope - that means you can afford it - the person you gave money to - cannot.
  13. If you don't have money for it - probably can't afford it
  14. So many people with aesthetic preferences. Queens, queens everywhere
  15. All in all looks like a pretty decent laptop for the money.
  16. There's only one RAM slot used. I wonder is there another free one which you can add another 8 RAM .. ?
  17. There's one thing i'm beginning to understand as I get older in the IT world - there's no such thing as "wait till the price goes down". I don't mean that the price won't go down - but that waiting does very rarely make sense. Take this with some grains of salt - but i'd just get whatever I can with the money I have - or so do with the maximum money I can spend a bit later on something. It's very rare that a competing product is launched in the same price range and blows the competitor away.
  18. They have a bit more bass than other models - but not as much as to count as bassy.
  19. Perhaps beyerdynamic Custom One Pro Plus? Amazon offers them for $200 with an Accessory Kit and Remote Microphone Cable. They will have very decent sound and a 3-level bass selector. So you get a portable headphone along with it being good for the home. The DT770s suffer from the ever-present beyer issue - not much bass, neutral in that respect.
  20. No BSOD or GPU artifacting smells like a possible PSU issue (note that not only big load can cause it it fail, but a longer session of use). That's what i'd try to replace and test.
  21. More RAM. Only 8 is really not smart nowadays. If you really think you won't need more than 8 - get a single stick of 8. Then worst case you can add two more sticks of 4 each if you're pressed for cash. Or another stick of 8.
  22. I really don't care about it being a bottleneck In my work OCing won't bring much benefit - an R7 or current gen i7 will do that. In what concerns games - it satisfies me as it is. Some time ago i relinquished the fruitless endevour of OCing. Let the boost do its' job.
  23. Just did a minor test - the 4690k was at 100% during a GTA 5 short playthrough. BUT the 1070 in the city was nearly always at 75-90% load. That at 3440x1440 and getting an average of around 60 fps. Not small settings, pretty darn good ones. So don't worry if you get 100% load on the CPU - the games will run good.
