my computer for whatever reason upgrading to Haswell (i5 4690k MB_Z97K/csm bios ver.2701) made it so i cannot turn off my computer unless i kill the power manually everything was perfect until then with sandybridge i thought it was my psu corsair cx600 but replacing it with evga nex 750w has shown me it still won't, i don't really know what else could cause it

you mean vgabios? if so it means your graphics card has another bios it can switch to if you mess it up by say trying to update it and it failed or something went wrong you would've bricked your card but with 2 you can just switch bios and fix it switch back and your good to go
