  1. I would like to be able to get my Grandpa a Nexus 9. This is because this Christmas we're getting him internet access and we obviously want to get him something to use that internet with, so this would be perfect along with a Chromecast which we would get him. He is 83 and not tech-savvy, but he learnt how to use his *awful* Humax TV recorder so I think this would be great for him, especially since he can check the news, weather and watch catch-up TV. http://www.amazon.com/Google-Nexus-Tablet-8-9-Inch-Black/dp/B00M6UC5B4
  2. Hi! I've never liked the new Google logo, so I used a Chrome addon and some basic CSS to replace the new logo with the old one on google.com & google.co.uk. Note: I have only tested this on Chrome with a 1080p display 1. Download Stylish or an alternative CSS injecting addon 2. Go to google.com, click on the Stylish icon and click on 'Write style for: google.com'. 3. Paste in this: #hplogo { content: url('https://lon02.objectstorage.softlayer.net/v1/AUTH_b217591c-0c95-4758-8a8e-ed792f2b2e73/images/google.png'); height:95px; width:269px;}#logocont { content: url('https://lon02.objectstorage.softlayer.net/v1/AUTH_b217591c-0c95-4758-8a8e-ed792f2b2e73/images/google-small.png'); height:34px; width:94;} 4. Call the title whatever you want and click save, you're done! #hplogo { background:none !important; content:url('https://lon02.objectstorage.softlayer.net/v1/AUTH_b217591c-0c95-4758-8a8e-ed792f2b2e73/images/google.png'); height:95px !important; width:269px !important;}#logocont { content:url('https://lon02.objectstorage.softlayer.net/v1/AUTH_b217591c-0c95-4758-8a8e-ed792f2b2e73/images/google-small.png');}
  3. I'm interested, why do so many people seem to hate YouTube since Google has done some of it's recent updates within a few years? I just noticed how much hate the YouTube Music video has got. Edit: Just noticed the broken poll... oh well
  4. Anyone that has copyrighted music in their video has one of the following: 1. A license to use the music 2. A managed channel status and because Content ID doesn't run on managed channels, it has not been picked up manually yet 3. Content ID has not detected something because of a technical reason on an affiliate channel, it has not been picked up manually yet The only legitimate way to use it is to get a license, e.g. Monstercat offer their $14.99 /month offering which includes all their music.
  5. I like the Autore because it looks incredibly sleek and elegant, and has that really appealing curve to the keys.
  6. Can you afford to get a new mobo and ram?
  7. I would go for a WD Blue for your new drive if you don't really care about the performance. Are you doing good with 8GB of RAM?
  8. He would install the OpenVPN server on his home computer then the traffic would be encrypted and go through that from school.
  9. His monitor cannot display 200fps, the maximum is 144fps for that display. Anyway you can still do streaming just fine with an i5 and swap that GPU out for a R9 380 or 390.
  10. I would recommend viewing this guide: https://community.openvpn.net/openvpn/wiki/Easy_Windows_Guide and then once setup, change the port to something that isn't being used and isn't blocked then install the OpenVPN app on your tablet and the client on your computers. However this will use your home network connection and it will be limited to that. Another option is getting a VPS server from a company like OVH (they have one for £3 /month, north america datacenter is in canada) and run OpenVPN on that.

  12. They're probably on a different updating server or something, and realtime updates more often or the thumbnail views aren't accurate.
  13. So I have a VPS from OVH currently unused, and I want to put an OpenVPN server on it to use for home use. What is the best Linux OS for this (i.e. network performance)
  14. Personally I would recommend http://ra4wvpn.com as they're cheap and have a lifetime option, but if you really want a free one just go with something like Hotshot Shield or DotVPN. I currently use a £2.50 /month OVH VPS with amazing DDoS protection with an OpenVPN server on it to protect against DDoS.
