  1. One extra note about the Axon 7 vs the One +3: Axon 7 has full American communications band support (Eg; version, sprint, ATnT, and T-moble) One + 3 Is missing bands for Spring and Verison. (a killer for me as those are the only two I use.) Sorce: http://www.androidauthority.com/zte-axon-7-vs-oneplus-3-707949/
  2. Wow, that's not bad. I use ZoneAlarm free firewall +antivirus but some pro features would be nice sometimes.

  8. Finally found a driver, had to Downgrad Upgrade back to windows 7. (Kinda wanted to do that anyway. :P) I'll make a full written tutorial and how to once it's all set up. #JustALittleBitFurtherNow
  9. Public service announcement: Finding drivers for and Emulex 10gb SFP+ NIC for windows 10 is nearly impossible. Both cards come up as unidentified PCI ethernet cards. We did, however, find working drivers for both cards on windows 7. @LinusSebastian If you got your cards working on windows 10 I would be forever grateful if you showed me where you found the drivers.
  10. So this is the setup I'm thinking of going for. What do you guys think? @nicklmg Card options: option 1 http://ebay.to/1LMohiG option 2 http://ebay.to/1QCjQg2 cable http://bit.ly/1TKfeXo Usage: transferring 4K raw video files and premiere pro projects between our two editors etc... Update: Ended up getting one of both cards. We decided to go fiber as those cables are much less expensive than direct attach copper and the top card option had fiber-optic connectors in both slots. The seller for the first option only had one card available so we grabbed one of the cards from the second option to cover that. we popped one of the two fiber connection modules out of the option 1 card and put it into the second card to finish everything up. #GoingFiberFTW!
  11. Decided to go with the Cable Matters USB 3.0 with the type A USB connector. I'll let you know how it goes. Cheers! http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Docking-Standalone-Function/dp/B015EOK8DK/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1456430114&sr=1-3&keywords=hdd+docking+station+3.1
  12. Update: Found the LTT episode. Looks like the BlacX would be best....or not, USB 2.0 on that guy. Found a 3.0 vertion but he has fewer stars than the competitors and is more expensive.
  13. Short story: I need a dual-bay HDD docking station to mirror, copy and work off of for my current projects and what to know what's best. Longer: I've heard a few horror stories about people using HDD docking station and having them disconnecting randomly or worst of all, corrupting the drive/erasing the data. I know Linus used some of these guys back when he was working out of the house but I can't find the video where he reviewed one. Yes, I'm copying what Linus was doing with his old hard drives despite His best intentions. We almost never reference old footage (and I don't plan on storing them in the bathroom.) So for now, that system is the most cost-effective way to maintain and secure our data while keeping it accessible and easily transferable between our two editors. What systems/ brands would you guys recommend? We're going to backup each project onto two drives. One will be used to actively pull and edit projects and the other one will be a safe backup (on a shelf), updated at the end of each day. So a two bay system would be best. I know that docking stations with USB 3.1 are starting to pop up but, I don't think it would be necessary as none of our project drives are faster than 150m/s anyway. (We do have the OS and cash files on some nice SSDs though. ) These are three options I'm looking at right now: Cable Matters USB 3.0 http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Docking-Standalone-Function/dp/B015EOK8DK/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1456430114&sr=1-3&keywords=hdd+docking+station+3.1 BlacX USB 3.0... 2.0 http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Drives-Docking-Station-ST0014U/dp/B002MUYOLW/ref=sr_1_7?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1456432151&sr=1-7&keywords=hard+drive+docking+station&refinements=p_n_feature_keywords_four_browse-bin%3A6022609011%2Cp_72%3A1248879011 Star Tech USB 3.1 http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-10Gbps-Dual-Bay-Dock-SATA/dp/B00XLAZ9KC/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1456430226&sr=1-6&keywords=hdd+docking+station+3.1 Thanks for the help! 14. Does anyone know if Cineform can use more than one GPU for Encoding/decoding?
  15. looking to know if premiere pro, DaVinci resolve, magic bullet looks, after effects or GoPro Cineform would benefit from a Multi-GPU setup. I know that SLI has been shown to make Adobe applications unstable and appears to have no practical effect outside of games, but I also know it's possible to use more than one GPU without SLI (Blender loves multi-GPU systems in non-SLI.) Unfortunately, most of the information I can find on the internet is either old or does not discuss GPU acceleration directly. I think Linus has all of his guys fitted out with Titan X(s) but I'm not sure if that's just because that's what Nvidia sent them or because there isn't any real benefit to Multi-GPU outside of games and Blender. Any information or experience you guys have on this wold be greatly appreciated! Thanks, GK
  16. haha, I don't think it just that. From the look of things they already got a bit of backing for their startup. So I think the Indigogo might just be the way there getting the word out about their new compony. And hey, I guess if you play Tennis the Gogo campaign is a good deal right.
  17. Right now Pivot is build to help you improve your tennis posture and skill, but I'm thinking this could be easily adapted into the VR world in a pretty neat way. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Sorce:(link) Indigogo page (Link)
  18. @Air_YT Well my friend, You made short work of that problem! Thanks. To clarify, The solution was to go into Disk Management, It detected the uninitialized array and then had a Next next-next wizard to finish it up.
  19. Hey Guys, So I picked up two 850 Evo SSDs during black Friday/cyber Monday and wanted to raid them togeather. I believe everything has been set up correctly, but windows is not listing the drive in the file manager even though it sees the Raid when I look under "Manage Devices" [image 1] It is also indicating that the array is "not Initialized" [imgae 2]... (. Linux is also failing to list the drives in its file manager, but does show them under "disks", but is listing the drives separately and simply noting that they are part of a raid group. System specs: Windows 10 / Ubuntu 15.04 Motherboard: Gigabyte x99-Ud5 wifi CPU: Intel 5820K GPU: Nvidia GTX 760 Hard drives: (1) 250gb 840 Evo (C drive) (1) 1Tb WD Black (Storage drive) (2) 500Gb 850 Evo (To be set in Raid 0) Raid Setup prosses: 1. set Sata controller in bios to raid 2. Reboot and move back into bios, opining UEFI intel raid options 3. Create new raid (striped AKA raid 0) 4. select SSDs for raid 5. Raid is build, booting to windows 6. Events as described above. Thanks for the help. [imgae 1] [imgae 2]
