  1. Re: Unremovable preinstalled apps Fortunately I think the biggest offenders / large preinstalled applications are removable (Garageband, iMovies, Pages/Numbers/Slides(?) are all multiple gigabytes each), so the "wasted" space is relatively minor (maybe like ~25 apps each ranging from 1MB to 25MB in size).
  2. I am not sure why you are bothered by the preinstalled apps; they shouldn't do anything unless launched. If I had to guess, perhaps you're bothered by the apps cluttering the Applications folder / Launchpad? If so, FYI you can start applications from Spotlight (default hotkey Cmd+Space?), and it's by far the faster and easier way to do so.
  3. Some thoughts about the problems: Corner Snapping I feel like putting this on the first of the order kinda made the issue look bigger than it seems lol. My personal experience: I purchased and downloaded Moom almost 10 years ago and never really thought / spent much time about it since, so over the 10 course of 10 years (and counting up) I really only wasted about 30 minutes total around this problem. It's not so bad when you think about it this way right? Full Screen is Weird I rarely use fullscreen, and when I do and I want to do something else, the first thing I will do is exit fullscreen, so this kinda feels a bit like a minor issue to me. Placing it on the second of the list also makes it bigger of a deal than it seems. Traffic Light Inconsistencies I think the traffic light buttons exist as the user-friendlier option for unfamiliar users, and having more options is good. However in the long term, most users should get used to keyboard shortcuts more (Cmd+W, Cmd+Q, Cmd+Shift+F). I think I stopped using the traffic light buttons after the first year. The problem highlighted in the video also feels very nitpicky: I personally don't (and don't know anyone that) fullscreen Notes, Calendar, or iMessages app. Or any apps really, I really only fullscreen videos I think. Volume Mixer MIA This is actually so bad and the developers of probably the best app to solve this knows it. SoundSource is priced at a whopping 47$, but it does solve the problem. Fully agree and I wish macOS can do this out of the box
  4. I think the tweet @just_dave brought up still holds true. As shown in the tweet image, the M1 Pro die has 2 DISP EXT blocks, and for all intents and purposes, the macbook screen itself might as well count as one "external display" since it needs to be outputted somehow lol. I think this explains why closing the lid allows you to use 2 external displays; one display feed (the macbook screen) is no longer in use, and the freed up DISP EXT can then be used to drive the second external display, so it's probably a hardware limitation and not an intentional market segmentation.
  5. I wanted to bring this point up as well, but my opinion/interpretation here isn't as harsh. I think it's borderline disingenuous to make the claim that the 1 external display limitation is intentional market segmentation (given that it's easy to find out as @just_dave pointed out). That being said, I think it is still good that this is brought up in the video regardless. It brings more awareness of the issue, and sends more signal to the people at Apple that this is not great and they should try to allow more than one external display in future iterations.
  6. I am currently using a 2012 Macbook Pro 13" with i7-3520M @ 2.9GHz. I plan to buy and use an external GPU, but I have some doubts that I'd appreciate if anyone can help to clear them. Will i7-3520M bottleneck the system performance when used with GTX 960/970? I will be using a 1080p display, with no plan of upgrading anytime soon. I'd like play games like Guild Wars 2, XCOM:EU, with enough smoothness and quality( 55+ fps, high-max settings?). Should I grab GTX 970, or will GTX 960 be enough?
  7. I tossed mine in the washing machine at 60'C and it came out clean I wouldn't wash it manually (treating it like a cleaning/dish cloth) as it may degrade the surface texture quality
  8. That's bullshit, I used Corsair K70 on it without any problems.
  9. Boot to safe mode, run full system scan with Malwarebytes. Additionally, run system file check to repair missing/corrupt system files: run in command prompt as admin: `sfc /SCANNOW`
  10. Afaik, you can upgrade in the first 365 days after W10 is released, and you own it. Forever.
  11. Probably adware. Reset your Google Chrome data or run Adw Cleaner

  13. Will it be redeemable outside UK? Also, it seems that you can pay with € or $. (£20.54/26.89€/$31.11) There's also £1.53/2.00€/$2.31 extra fee if you pay through Paypal or paysafecard. (no extra fee if credit card is used) --- Was asked for phone verification, bought Dying Light, payment got blocked, and IG asked for ID Card photo for verification purpose. Will update when there's any progress in it. Additionally, the cs told me that it's not regionlocked. --- Update; ordered 2, got 2, row.
