  3. Would love to win a NUC thanks for the opportunity!
  4. Sure the OS is up for debate and with Windows 8.1 now released you actually have a choice between the two... I still prefer Windows 7 however. Also I covered how my current 256gb SSD boot does handle 5-10 games (closer to 5 with mods) It is still a pain to swap one or two over to the HDD just to install a new purchase on the SSD. And again NO, they wont start when you turn the PC on they start when you open steam/origin/whatever and then launch them.

    +120fps gaming

yeah but were talking about a single 4k capable card running games at only 1080p...

    +120fps gaming

Yay I'm going to remain pretty optimistic about this card and will strongly consider it if and when the non-reference cards launch...

    +120fps gaming

ok yeah DayZ is poorly optimized and if they fixed that than you should be able to and I dont know anything about star citizen... BUT keep in mind the 980ti is supposed to be the first single gpu go to card for 4k gaming w/o having to sli to get more than 30fps @ ultra... So, if he's only using it at 1080p I think your expectations can shoot pretty high and after a solid overclock on a non-reference card. Yes? No?

    +120fps gaming

Rumor mill has a potential GTX 980ti release from nvidia in 2 months and it should especially when overclocked it should easily get you 120-160 fps w/ ultra settings in all those games with minimal settings tweaks if your only running at 1080p. thats assuming the rest of your pc is up to snuff... Overclocked i5 or i7 and 16gb+ of high quality ram, etc...
  9. Windows 7 Ultimate... If you have any friends who build atleast one or two PC's a year I guarantee you he has a free copy of it that he'll help you install... Honestly, everyone I know personally, who has ever built there own pc have gone this route. Thats all im saying.
  10. As far as the Rosewill Apollo goes you be saving quite a bit of cash and be getting the same quality except for that extra lighting... It is definitely the way to go!!! In terms of understanding the SSD stuff I have to videos for ya here and I'll be happy to clarify anything for you after you watch them... But yes when you store your games on an SSD loading screens become virtually nonexistent!!! First vid is how to setup an SSD boot drive w/ a second HDD for mass media storage. You dont need to watch the whole thing now but it will give you a solid understanding of what needs to be done in terms of setup once the pc is built. That vid is found here: And this second video shows what SSD's are capable of... And why you want to install your windows 7 OS, your software, and your games all on the ssd boot drive... That video is linked here:
  11. You know when someone turns on there $2000 gaming pc and the Windows 7 is 100% up and running in about 5 seconds? Well its not because of the overclocked i5 or i7... It's because the computers boot drive is an SSD instead of an HDD (which would have atleast a 30 to 60 second start up time even with the fastest hardware)
  12. Exactly... imo for $1000 bucks your not getting a whole lot in terms of specs/performance that you cant already get on a $500 laptop (or less) except for the touchscreen and form factor...
  13. At that price if your absolutely set on getting a tablet over an obviously more capable laptop... Then hell ya! Get it while its hot... and in stock.
  14. Ya anytime man... Feel free to friend me on here and anytime you have a question regarding just about any aspect of PC's or PC gaming. You can feel free to pm me. It's why I'm here and starting out we all need someone, who we can go and ask even the stupidest of questions lol
