  1. Sure thing. Was curious about the first brand. Thank you
  2. Looks great and good point on extra cores for future proofing a bit. Thank you.
  3. Yeah it really is, especially since most games now don't even support dual gpu's. Ideally I'd like to sell it and just buy him a 5700xt instead. Thank you for the build, looks solid!
  4. Budget (including currency): $500 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming only. Call of duty Warzone to Star wars and everything in between. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This build is for my brother. I have an old Radeon 295x2 video card I will be giving him to use for the time being. No peripherals are needed. He will be playing on 1080p 144hz most likely, though the his display can go to 1440p at 144hz but doesn't seem practical for this budget. Thanks everyone.
  5. Hey everyone, I've been researching a lot about ram lately with my new build. (x570 3950x) I've come across the different dies, B-die, C-die, etc. I'm still a little confused about timings, latency, speed etc, is 3600mhz c18 worse than 3400mhz c16? If price isn't a problem other than something crazy $1000 for a stick, what would be "Best Ram" on the market currently matched with a ryzen and x570 board. Thank you
  6. Hey all, I've been having an on-going problem with our connection going out at random and staying out. Past week it goes offline for up to 10 hours unless I restart the modem. Which leads me to believe it's a faulty piece of hardware, router works fine and they've replaced this same model 4 times already from the same issues and latency spikes. I'm currently using their rental modem which is the Arris TM1602A, and I'm thinking of just buying my own to save on the rental fee plus the added benefit of hopefully having stable internet. Is the model they gave me any good? I've tried researching it but haven't been able to really find any information or anyone's thoughts on this model. Would I benefit from buying a new one that is more highly praised for being "Stable" Current Modem: Arris TM1602A ISP: Spectrum ISP Speed: 150 mb Thank you.
  7. I've spent well over a month researching every 1440p 144hz monitor and still have no clue which one to go with. Does anyone have any personal recommendations? 700$ budget (IPS Panel) Using 2080 PG279Q, AD27QD, XG2760, or wait for something new like 27GL850 to show up for sale in usa.
  8. Im in the US. Darkflash phantom case with the divider removed so can fit pretty much any psu under 12 inches.
  9. Yes I've been reading through that just didn't know if anyone had a brand preference.
  10. I'm almost finished with my new build. 3900x 2080 super x570 asus tuff 32gb 3200mhz corsair 970 evo I was originally just going to use my current PSU in the new build but it's going on 7 years old and I have the extra money so rather just get a new one and start fresh. Budget $150, prefer modular.
  11. Haven't decided on one yet, 240hz most likely. Not sure on brand.
  12. Any recommendations on the Mobo?
  13. After 7 years it's time to upgrade. Just looking to fine-tune a build before the Ryzen release date. Just the PC as I already have peripherals. Going to be mainly for gaming and coding/running multi-threaded programs. Cheers
