He has no warranty on it, anything that he can try he will. He just wants to try and save it.

Don't worry that's normal for a hard drive for it to be laggy. Reducing the programs that start up on launch and cleaning up the files will help though.

Yep, no matter what people say about the overclocking on the pentium, a locked i3 still crushes it if you want to do anything besides play games at the same time, and it will also save you some pain from some, er, questionable titles ahem ubisoft, far cry4

You may have killed your card by static, in the future, use compressed air to clean your computer, and keep away from pets and carpets. This is a piece of electronics, not something you can be willy-nilly with.

Get the cheapest/coolest looking, depending on what you want. Sometimes it's worth it to spend a few extra bucks because it can be the difference between a terrible looking system and a baller system
