Alert for LastPass Users, The Breach in August was Worse Than Expected
RedSpade replied to scottyseng's topic in Tech News
Is this so bad though? Particularly considering the master password would have to be compromised first, in which case it's no different to logging into your account through brute force to begin with (excluding 2FA which isn't required on all accounts). Along with the above the brute forcing would have to be done on a case by case basis. I'll be honest, I'm not concerned even though I use LastPass. -
I completely agree. I was trying to say that Australia would be an ideal place for a nuclear reactor, due to natural resources and unreliable power sources. Unfortunately the only one we have is a small one for research. And it would be cheaper for Australia to process Uranium than to sell it to someone else, then buy it back processed. The only problem is the media convincing the Australian people that it's bad. Pfft, more like you try

There's only 1 nuclear plant in Aus and that's in Sydney but generates no power. They should have a nuclear power plant as Aus has 33% of the worlds uranium. It definitely does, SA has had huge problems with black/brown outs, not entirely due to renewable energy, but mostly because their energy network is so spread out. So when the power lines are brought down then everything fails, hopefully they put some safeguard in place with these batteries to reliably supply electricity even in extreme weather.

Wrong section mate. Also, I don't think they're worth it unless you're swimming in money.
-
Not really. It's spread out over lots of energy networks and with the way energy is generated the effect would be tiny.

If he doesn't care about it being the fastest, I suggest the Moto z play. It's cheaper, the screen is 1080p (which I think is perfectly fine), it has a much bigger battery, and the SD 625 is a good mid-range chip.

No problem, considering you're getting a really small case you might not want to overclock. If you already have a decent cooler, that fits, and can get an AM4 adapter then get the 1600x (or if you can easily afford a decent cooler). Otherwise I'd say to get the 1600 as the difference in price is actually quite a bit when you include the cooler. IIRC they fixed that problem and there's a post somewhere.

1. Already got your answer 2. Nah, the new AGESA (or whatever) update will be coming out in June (I think) that will increase compatability and RAM speeds 3. Already got your answer 4. Yeah, there are reports of minimum frame rates being higher on Ryzen which means smoother performance (I've noticed this in Total War Warhammer) 5. I wouldn't, or else you'll always be waiting for the 'next big thing coming x months away' I've got an msi B350M board and it works perfectly fine with corsair vengeance LED ram. So long as @flukey checks the compatibility of the motherboard.

I think this is completely fair. The logo's are very similar to the point that you could click the wrong one which I would get eternally frustrated with if I used paypal and pandora consistently.

Agreed, 1700(x) for content creation. Don't forget a cpu cooler though if you're getting the 1700x.

GPU Suggestion! Failing R9 290X Lightning Fan.
RedSpade replied to Dive5885's topic in Graphics Cards
The 8GB barely makes a difference. Tt'd probs be better to just contact MSI and see what they say even if it's out of warranty, they may be able to rma it or send replacement fans for cheap -
Completely forgot to add this before, but here's a pic of the 8 pin cable. Also the back doesn't have a lot of room for cable management so you'll need to spend a bit of time planning the management...
