    Why does the WAN show still only use max 128kbps audio? - It's a talkshow, anyone listening to it in podcast fashion (audio only) will suffer... in fact most audio listeners suffer - They dedicate 3500kbps (as seen at steam[0] in the screenshot) to the video, so why not spare a bit extra for 192kbps audio? - They have their expensive AF mic, but it is bottlenecked by the low audio bitrate! LTT, pls fix.

If your problem persists after that then try using this tutorial http://winsupersite.com/windows-10/stop-automatic-driver-updates-windows-10 to remove the default driver updating software in windows 10 (if that happens to Not work, please reset the settings as you might need it).     yeah, game streaming is on the rise, and with this kind of internet speed it wouldn't be hard to do, but yeah as you said the problem is with the feedback time or "ping", and also it would cost a hell of a lot of money to host this kind of service to the hundreds of thousands of people playing games because of hardware and network space. Plus when it comes to gaming I like to have offline capability, which wouldn't be possible with game streaming. But if the case is that everyone has a super-fast Gigabit+ connection, then non-static server-based downloading (AKA: Private torrenting) will probably be something that will be implemented soon, just in the sense that everyone downloads from each other rather than from servers. That way people will have faster downloads than say downloading from steam's server, and steam don't have to pay for things like internet bandwidth, faster network speeds and the actual physical space to host the games and other things that come with it.

    Also, you need to consider it's GigaBits a second, not Gigabytes, so it'd be something close to 6 seconds... which is like... way too long for a download amirite?

    Haha, yeah. Maybe in about 5 years we'll see this kind of performance in the hardware inside our computers before our networks can handle it

    I don't think this article has been posted yet on the forum so I'd like to share it in case you haven't seen it: http://www.gizmodo.co.uk/2016/03/engineers-smashed-the-record-for-fibre-optic-data-transmission-with-new-kind-of-laser/ I think this is amazing and it's yet another step forward in the right direction. Although we won't be seeing these speeds in our homes anytime soon (maybe wait until 2035), this kind of data transmission will most likely be diversified and updated to work along-side, or even on top of current existing fibre transmission methods. Anyway, that's just my two cents, read the article for more information. I'd love to hear your thought on this and any general discussions about the topic in general. Thanks

    This is true. I already have 2 Wireless routers for internet usage, but they both have 802.11b speeds, and the ethernet has the same speeds as the wifi (god only knows why) and I'd just like to upgrade transfer speeds with NAS devices. Thanks for the input

    Yeah there isn't too many that don't have wifi, but the reason I need a router (and not just a switch) is because a switch doesn't seem to act the same way as a router does. I need it specifically for having a separate network just for directing files and folders from my PC to my raspberry pi and vice-versa.

    Can someone suggest a Gigabit LAN only router? I don't need it to be LAN only, but the prices of 802.11ac routers are too damn high, and it doesn't need to have hundreds of ethernet ports (since I have some switches lying around), or maybe it would make sense to fashion together some pfSense router and frankenstein a switch onto it or something... Any suggestions are welcome, and if this is already a topic I apologize. Thanks for your time.

    This statement is untrue and misleading. Maybe I wasn't being specific enough. I'm not saying it isn't enough to turn on whatsoever, just when the system demands more than 80% PSU utilization, it is asking for more than the power supply can... supply. Thanks! This is more than I need to diagnose this issue. As with Zyntaxable's post, this is untrue.

    Pretext: I advised my friend building a low-end gaming PC 2 years ago. It consisted of a low-power AMD APU, GTX 660, generic mobo, hdd, cd drive that fit the bill, and a Corsair 600W 80+ Bronze PSU. This build was strictly for gaming purposes (originally) and was decent, pulling around 45fps on high on most games at the time of purchase. Recently my friend started streaming to Twitch from the same PC from which he is playing, resulting in extremely bad gaming performance due to the rubbish old CPU. He complains to me and I think also secretly blames me for the bad performance, so I told him the best thing for him to do would be to upgrade CPU and PSU, and since he has AMD he had to upgrade his mobo too. He ended up looking on loads of different forums, all advising him to buy an i7 4790k, because its "great for streamers and youtubers" and a like motherboard to put it in. So he did it without consent from me (although it is his money so I don't really want to debate it with him) and then complains to me that he still isn't getting good performance. He says he recently brought COD: Blops III and it runs "like shit, it's unplayable" (which I'll presume is less than 30fps). I don't have anymore info. I tried to explain it to him but he really doesn't get it, and is now taking advice from someone oversees (USA) who has told him to "Just buy a new graphics card and it'll be fine" which is the total opposite. tl;dr: friend got a low-end PC, and put some high-end parts in it expecting to make it 1000% better, didn't work due **something** The Big Question(s) Am I right to assume it is the 600 Watt Corsair Power supply that is causing the CPU and GPU to bottleneck, thus producing worse performance? Is there any software which I could use which would tell me things like how much power the CPU, GPU, Mobo, etc. Is getting? along with either an in-game overlay, and/or a log file (or graph) showing the performance over time so I can play a game that lags to see what is causing it. Thanks to whoever reads and responds, sorry its so long. Also, I'm writing a 1600 page novel if anyone would like to read it, it'll be out on amazon in 15 minutes.

    Interesting concept. If I was to buy this NIC, for example, would it be to running 2gbps split between the two ports (1gbps/each) or 1gbps split between the two (500mbps/each)?

    What are the different speeds of network interface cards? Obviously there's 10/100/1000, Gigabit and now there's 10 Gigabit, but is there any speeds in between gigabit and 10 gigabit? Reason I'm looking it because I want to get something faster than 1 Gigabit, but without having to spend £200+ on a 10Gigabit NIC when I won't be able to utilize the speeds.     /thread Also, anyone else find it weird that MS and Valve has partnered for VR and gaming. but have not releaved any details for dx12? MS has always failed making gaming platforms (when it comes to PC) so I don't know why they wouldn't partner to make shit and get it done. Just a thought.

    Your original comment is extremely condescending. Was I supposed to know they are bad? I used my friend's chroma kraken (at the time was around £90, or about $140) and they are a lot more sturdy than my current headset (the steelseries 5h's) and combined with the amazing audio fidelity that we was accustomed to hearing (in teamspeak, mumble, etc) it seems like it'd be a good deal if he could buy them for $100 (or £65 or so)
