  1. can you check the hard drives SMART report? boot in Linux see if the HDD is failing?
  2. I think it'd be the 860k (FM2+) its slightly faster than the fx 4350... cpu boss rates the 860 above fx parts in single threaded performance
  3. Perhaps your installation media is corrupted? maybe try download a fresh iso and chuck it on a usb?
  4. Rig name No name Cpu AMD FX 6300 @ 4 Ghz Gpu AMD Radeon R9 390 @ 1150 Ram Crucial Ballistix DDR3 @ 1866 Score 8.2
  5. Hi So I have just been given 4 2TB hardrives and i want to run them in a NAS type pc but am not too sure what to actually install on the pc. I have windows server 2012 and 2016 available to use or of course linux. The main issue for my indeciveness is that the pc the drives are in at the moment is a really old pc.... its running a 64bit athlon single core at i think 2.2GHz and 1 GB of ddr400 it also has an 80Gb IDE bootdrive this is because the board only has 4 SATA connectors and I figure a IDE drive is faster than running a USB 2.0 boot. I know Linux will be fine running on it but is it worth trying out windows server? and if it is not what distro would you recommend running?
  6. did you install the windows 10 drivers for your card?
  7. ummm you could just go to recording devices and tick the listen to this device option?
  8. you do know that the insider windows 10 will upgrade to normal 10 but you will carry on beta testing the updates (or at least last I read)
  9. I believe NCP is nvidia control panel so you dont need to pull it apart?
  10. if you are running dual screen are all the screens plugged into the same card?
  11. well you can take the hard drive out and put in in another computer to copy the music off...
  12. Just to check you did put the SLI bridge on right?
  13. i agree with push v pull has little to no difference in cooling but i would put the fans pulling through the radiator. it just makes it easier to clean dust (don't need to remove fans) i believe linus has a video about it.
  14. Does she game at all? Because if not the a-10 is probably a bit overkill you could go for a cheaper a8 or a6
  15. its like a 7870 on crack - Pauls Hardware about the R9 270X
