G.I.BRO's Achievements

  1. Sup... just watched the latest YT WAN Show and I was taken back when they mentioned Folding... talk about nostalgia!!! I totally forgot about this project I first started back in 2006, well as per my last unit date stamp, and figured to play around with it again and joined the LTT team. I have 3 systems running which I think my oldest rig was the original one i used back in 2006 LOL System 1 - AMD Phenom II X4 940 / AMD Asus HD 6870 System 2 - Intel I5 3550 / Asus NV 670 System 3 - AMD 8350 / Asus Strixx 390 (main rig) Nothing ground breaking as you can see LMFAO, tho interesting to see what these 3 can do Ready to crush some Folding units!!!! Cheeers!
  2. The headphones look to be amazeballz, the materials and the tech described will make these balln!!! Good Luck to all!
  3. Ugh... ohhh so many moons ago. Something like this... 486 DX2 66MHz, 6mb of ram and a 14" crt. I believe my system had a turbo button which upped it to 88mhz, cant remember now. All for Doom and the Original Wolfenstien! <3
  4. When I first started to build I always stuck with ABIT... but since their ship drowning I've jumped over to Asus and haven't looked back. Sure there are other great boards out there, but Asus has yet to make me change over.
  5. I'm not going to sit here and preach #'s to yeah, those details are all over the place and each persons needs are different... but I would be wary of any future upgrade paths with this platform right now. If that's of no concern then even less to worry about. On that note; I've been using the 8350 (check system specs) since it came out and I've been extremely happy with it. The HSF that came with it sucks tho, I mean its fine when its idle but as soon as you start to play games or do video/photo editing it fires up and its pretty effn loud. Since changing my desk area around the system is sitting right under me now so its damn annoying, I'm currently in a hunt for a HSF replacement. I just cant decide on what to replace it with. In regards to gaming, I mainly play BF4, Assetto Corsa, Blood Dragon and DayZ @ 2560x1440 (very low AA) and I have no real complaints. I don't bother with exact FPS as long as the game play is buttery smooth, which is practically most of the time. If anything my ref 670 is what's holding me back. Again for everyday use the platform works really REALLY well, I've had zero issues since day one. Are there faster systems out there, sure, but its up to you to debate those finer details. I'm just sharing some light on the system its self in real world situations. Hope this helps and good luck!

  7. Hi, long time watcher but I finally decided to sign up... wooooooo!! As for my name, well when joining another forum I couldn't decide on what to use (my fav names where already taken) and as I had wresting on the tele in the background the character GIBRO (brooker T) came out and i was like... YES! Didnt think id stay around on that forum but I got trapped there and it stuck. I then carried it over to online gaming and well, almost 15yrs later i'm still using it.
  8. Grats on the giveaway contest! - There are many things I really like about the phone, but the biggest one that sticks out the most for me is the battery life. - Big ups for dbrands sponsorship for this contest! Good luck to all!
