Are byski and barrow good watercooling brands?

I'm currently using some barrow extended and angled fittings, construction quality seems good, paint quality on the other hand is hit and miss, some have small marks or blemishes, nothing extreme and you can't even notice it once they are in your system but you can pick it up when you have them all sitting together on your desk. Having said that, the paint quality on my EK hardtube fittings isn't perfect either so there's that. I'm using all white fittings, so your results may vary with other colours. I read somewhere that bykski may be an oem from some other watercooling brands, eg: EK, water blocks seem very similar so either that or they are copying the design.

Radiator Suggestions Needed - Low FPI / Low RPM

Are you planning on hiding the side rad in the rear compartment? Having the rad in the rear compartment and having the fans in the main compartment will limit what rads you can use, it will also limit you to having the ports up the top. An EK PE or XE series rad won't fit as they are to wide and the front I/O gets in the way, the SE will fit with 1-2mm gap.

    EK - Cryofuel Solid

Didn't get to check the original bottle as i shook that before poring into another bottle. Gave it good 10min mix and it's still looking like Vue. I might send EK email and see what they have to say.

    EK - Cryofuel Solid

Does your white look like Primochill Vue fluid? I picked up a bottle of the Azure blue concentrate today and looks like Vue after it's been mixed with water, should it look like this? My first time using a solid fluid. Haven't put it in my loop yet. It's been sitting on my desk for a couple hours and it looks like there is sediment build up on the bottom of the bottle already, not sure i even want to put it on my loop now.

XFX announces new Vega 64 and Vega 56 custom cards

Yep, looks like a 6pin+8pin to me. You can clearly see the 6pin with 2 of the pins from the 8pin covered by the heatpipe end/heatsink cover. Edit: I was looking at the 3rd pic.

Hairline crack in screwhole of EK block

EK do sell some spare parts (mainly for CPU blocks) but i would be hitting them up with a nice email and asking if they can sell you just a replacement top. Or ask a rep if there is one here on the forums. Saves buying a whole new block.

USB 2.0 type A Reversible Asus Thor

Forget about the reversible connector, look at how clean that motherboard is, I know I know it's only a demo board and probably doesn't function but damn it looks neat.

    Torrent Site Eztv is Back

The eztv proxy sites had been working for a week or so now, they seem to be down now but were working while the main site was offline.
  10. Hey guys, First off i would just like to say sorry if this post becomes to long or messy, i will be writing up this post as things come to mind. I purchased the h220 back in August and always intended to expand it in the future, well that time is now/very soon. The idea was to keep things as small and simple as possible, so i chose the h220 over a custom loop, plus i really don't have the room for a bay/tube res. This will be my first custom (sort of) watercooling setup. Here's a list of things i intend to purchase some time in the next few weeks: https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=357668&action=wish_lists (I really hope this link works properly). The EK 290x water block - This is the only (currently) instock 290/x water block at the moment, so it's the obvious choice as i'll be cooling a reference 290 (already own the EK 290x backplate). The Alphacool 240mm rad - I chose this rad as it's full copper, there are quite a few 240mm rads to choose from at pccg, feel free to suggest anything else. I looked at the monster rad but thought maybe that's a little overkill for my setup? The XSPC clear tubing - I won't be re-using the swiftech tubing the comes with the cooler, i chose this as it's the same size so i can re-use the swiftech hose clamps, the only other clear 3/8" - 5/8" tubing available is from Promochill and more then double the price for 3meters and that's way more tubing then i will ever need, 2m is more then enough even. The hose cutter - Well for $6 why not? I've already purchased the compression fittings i need for this setup (XSPC black chrome V2 fittings). Already have biocide Will buy distiled water later on when it comes time to setting up the system. Now i'm pretty sure everything is compatible, copper and nickel play well together in the same loop yes? The rig this setup will be in/cooling: I5 4690k Asus Z87M-Plus (upgrading this hopefully early 2015) Kingston Hyper X Fury 16Gb 1866mhz memory Sapphire Radeon R9 290, currently cooled by a modded Accelero Xtreme 4 128Gb Samsung 840pro - boot drive, 512Gb Samsung 830 - games drive, 4tb Seagate HDD - everthing else drive Corsair AX760 powersupply Fractal Design Arc Mini R2 case Noctua NF-F12 fans all round, 3 intake, 3 exhaust. I think this post is long enough now, would love to see some thoughts and suggestions. Thanks for reading.
  11. I really like the power efficiency of the 900 series, no sure why zotac thought they needed to add 2 8pin connectors to the 970.

    False Panel Materials

If you really want to get ghetto and as cheap as possible you could always use some nice solid cardboard, if you are going to vinyl wrap it anyway who's going to know?
