  1. Cheers, Auralux got me through the day today, will look into the others too
  2. Hi! TLDR: I'm looking for a mobile (iOS) game that's preferably turn based and with automatic save states. F2P not required. So I'm not a mobile gamer but current circumstances have made me look for options. Basically I'm having loads of slow days at work where I want something to fill 5-20 minute gaps, but I also need to be able to put the game down and go deal with work at a moments notice when I get a call/mail or a college steps into my office. I then want to be able to simply pick up where I left of. What I think I’m looking for is either a turn based RPG, TCG, "Base builder" or such but that's also not too complicated AND that has a good clear UI on my phone. I tried downloading Crying Suns which is supposedly kinda like FTL which I've heard great things about, but the UI was microscopic on my phone screen. Other games I've looked at but not pulled the trigger on is Fallout Shelter, GWENT, Knights of pen and paper and Final Fantasy Brave Exvius (and tactics). Edit: I don't mind paying for the game but prefereably only once... Any recommendations would be very appreciated, thanks!
  3. Oh well, i guess ill have to completely rethink this. Thanks for saving me some money
  4. 'Want' might not have been the best choice of words Maybe i should just look into an active cable of some sort instead. Dont they typically have pretty bulky ends? Do you think power will be an issue too with lets say four dual shock 5 controllers connected?
  5. So my basic idea is to have a usb hub built into my living room table to connect varoush peripherals such as gamepads etc when i want to do pc couch-gaming. The problem is that i want to make it a bit more complicated than that. I first need a long usb cable, but I've already sourced a good 5m/16 feet cable that I've previously used with my Quest 2-headset. I then want a magnetic connector so I dont tear the cable when I innevitably forget about it when moving the table. That would go into an at least 4 port USB-hub that I connect my peripherals to with at least 2m/6 feet cables to be able to lean back comfortably. Will this even work or will the long cables and multiple connection-points ruin the signal? Wireless isnt really an option as I hate trying to pair controllers back and forth between my pc and consoles. Thanks in advance
  6. Fair point about selling the kit. The market here isn't as crazy as in the states but I guess trying doesn't hurt. I just wanted to do something a bit more fun Thanks for the replies!
  7. After a work PC upgrade I have 32 GB of terrible DDR4 RAM left over and i was wondering what do do with it. So I thought what about a simple RAM disk that I can use as a volatile downloads folder or something along those lines..? The thing is that I'm not super savvy. I could probably figure out how to set up a ram disk but I want a simple solution: Preferably some module plugged into a PCI-slot or hell, even USB - speed isn't the goal. I've been googling for the last hour or so but cannot seem to find anything like it. Is there such a thing out there? I know it has been a thing way back in the past, such as the showcase Linus made here:
  8. I got the below one for my pc (3800x, 2080 super), PS5 and dual monitors. Had a smaller 600w one before but it couldn't handle my pc under load. Its only like $150 too, at least when i got it. Only negative so far is a quiet but noticeable buzzing noise when everything is turned of. 9. Are both screens going black or just one? Have you tried switching cables, ports or using just one screen?
  10. Is it a dual bios card? You might have to flip a switch on the card to disable the 0 rpm mode. My 2080 super normally idles at 50c if my system has been on for a while. Fans start spinning at 55c and stops again at 49c. This behavior is normal and often prefered. What are your maximum temps during load and do you get the performance you'd expect or does it throttle? The fans not spinning while idle is not a fault, its a feature.
  11. Whats your fan-setup, do you have good airflow across the card? Active exhaust? Edit: Never mind, just saw your previous reply. I guess you could re-paste the card for better passive cooling, but 50-55 c is quite normal with 0 rpm.
  12. Do you have a current build? What Gpu is in that one in that case? Buying a bang for the buck Gpu is fine but i would hate to buy something i intended to replace asap. Even something like a gtx 970 will still give you a decent 1080 experience in lot of games.
  13. The quest 2 offers a pretty decent standalone experience, you dont need to connect it to a pc. That said, pc games will obviously look better if you have the hardware to run them.

    Cooler lifespan

Aio water coolers have an additional point of failure (the pump) and the whole thing will have to be replaced once it does fail - which is a lot more expensive than just a fan. That said, my dad is using my 10 year old pc with an Aio and is fine.
  15. Does it only do this under load or at completely random times too?
