So I have been having issues with my Razer kraken headset. Ive had it about 3 years now. Here is the issue: If you have ever heard your own voice through a microphone, that is what my games sound like. They are slightly muffled, and almost have like a second echo to them. This issue only happens when I am in a video game, whether its the League of legends menu, to in game, Overwatch, GTA, ect. If I alt tab and go to watch lets say a youtube video, that sounds fine. It is only to the game audio. Here is what I have for a setup: Ryzen 7 2700x MSI RTX 2060 16GB of Corsair Vengeance 3000 ASUS Prime x470 Pro As for audio hardware: Focusrite 2i2 Yamaha HS7s x2 Blue Yeti Microphone Razer Kraken I also do use VoiceMod software, and have my audio and microphone looped through that. Here is what Ive done so far to try and stop the weird in game noise: Make sure im on most up to date windows version. All drivers are up to date. Disabled any audio devices that were not being used. Disabling my VoiceMod software It also goes through OBS software. So my viewers are hearing it over stream as well on twitch. Anyone have any ideas?

I was kind of at a point you were about 2 years ago. Don't focus so much on whats coming out next, just build a system thats going to last 8+ years. I did a ryzen 7 2700x, a X470 Prime mobo, MSI 2070. 6 months after I build the new Ryzen series came out and I felt like a fool, but at the end of the day im playing my favorite games in max settings and have no issues. Later on i might upgrade. As far as watercooling, just build the system you want, and add that later!

I dont know what your budget is. I honestly like both laptops you posted. This MSI laptop is a nice choice as well. Looking through bestbuy isnt a bad option, as they have student deals where if something is on sale, and says students get X amount off, you get that off of the sale price as well. So this normally $1999.99 laptop that is on sale at $1699.99 you can get another hundred off for being a student. If it were me personally, I would go more towards the route of slim and light, after all you already said that you sold your Razer laptop because of the bulky build. You'll be carrying it around for classes as well.

The 2014 model is notorious for image retention/burn in issues. Really it comes down to either getting the screen replaced, or waiting it out to buy a new computer.

V. 1903. In my windows update settings it also it also tells me that I’m most up to date, and that I’m currently running a version of windows that is nearing the end of support? Ill give what you suggested a shot.

So about once a month on start up, my pc will randomly open the settings window, and then this gets pasted in, then the settings go full screen. It did this before I even touched the keyboard. Any thoughts?

I have the asus prime x470 Pro motherboard with a ryzen 7 2700x. I just bought a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 250gb. I installed it and it shows up in bios, but will not show up in windows. I have unplugged all other drives than my boot drive right now and it won’t show up. I made sure m.2 raid is off, tried both m.2 slots. I can’t seem to figure out why I can’t get this drive to show. Any thoughts?

So update: I was looking through some of the settings for the 2i2, and it said the drivers were fully up to date, but in the log it said there was a driver update request from 1/1/19. I went ahead and redownloaded the drivers from their website and all seems to be good. Just listened to Linus's new Installing a CPU video and no issues at all!

well the issue I have with that is 1, they are XLR so I dont have a way to plug them in unless I went with an adapter, which i would rather not do as I do some music production( forgive me for the POOR placement of the monitors, I'm moving to a new house in july and that is on my list of things to fix.) Secondly, the audio card on my mobo isnt the greatest, hence getting the 2i2.

SO I have a focusrite 2i2 hooked up to two Yamaha HS7's.. I have had them for about a year but just recently they started having this weird audio lag issue. If I unplug the 2i2, the audio is fine and within about 5 minutes it goes back to the weird part, sometimes it comes back to normal, sometimes it just completely cuts audio. Any ideas? The first part of this video you can hear it glitching out, then its fixed after a replug.

As @fasauceome said the newer zen2 chipset will be coming out soon, and a 1700x or 2700x would be a good option, as the zen2 will be same AM4 platform. I went with a 2700x knowing that I will be upgrading soon.

That's not on bestbuy to give that, that's on the manufacturer. The whole system comes in one box and we put it on the shelf. Just take it back, and explain. If you are within the 14 days of return policy, they should have no issue returning it regardless if you tried to add a different cooler.

I work at BestBuy. Do not take what I say as customer support or on the behalf of bestbuy in any way shape or form. Did you but the computer as open box, a shelf display, or as new in box?

If you are trying to use the iMac as a second display for another computer, it won't work. EDIT: Did not realize this was the monitor, not mac ?
