Gordo Gato81 got a reaction from joaoajpinto in Windows 10 system instability issues
For the last half year or so I have had a lot of issues with system stability. Hard freezes while gaming, where none of my inputs are registered, but then unfreezes after 1-2 seconds as well as some micro stuttering. Another problem I am having is that on my first boot after the computer was sleeping or shutdown for a couple hours, the computer stutters and hangs when doing simple tasks. The solution to this, which usually fixes it, is to simply restart he computer as the initial boot seems to just not start properly. I have tried everything I can think of to solve these issues, updating, uninstalling, reinstalling, disabling different devices, reinstalling windows entirely, uninstalling different apps, switching power profiles and probably a couple other things that I have now forgotten about. Out of desperation, I recently downloaded an app called Reimage Repair which found a bunch of errors which I have attached as an .xml file. The app offers to repair it for 20 Euros, but if I could solve these issues without paying that I would obviously do that.

    Thanks in advance!

There is definitely a point in buying an AMP/DAC/combo/Sound card/interface. The hd598s have a relatively high impedance of 150 ohms with high sensitivity of 102db, which means they are relatively difficult to drive. If you are using your computers motherboard/case audio out as your audio source then you are definitely not getting the full potential of your HD598s. I would invest in AMP/DAC/combo/Sound card/interface before investing in a new pair of headphones as anything "better" than HD598s definitely will need an amp to drive them properly. That being said, probably the best headphones you can get for 200$ would be HD6XX from Massdrop. Another, great option would be the Hifiman HE4XX.

In terms of AMPs/DACs/Combos/interfaces, a popular combo would be the Schiit stack consisting of modi/magni. I would personally invest in an interface like the Presonus Studio 26. However, there are plenty of other options out there and I highly recommend doing some research before buying something new.
