  1. I also tried an HDMI cable but it's not working as well
  2. no the monitor works just fine. i used it with my old computer
  3. I built a computer recently without a graphics card (I purchased an APU), but my screen won't turn on. The motherboard has integrated graphics as well. have a DVI cable plugged into the motherboard which is connected to my monitor. Everything inside the PC is connected correctly. Would I need to purchase a graphics card to make it work? Thanks! Parts list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/afrahmohasin/saved/p4t8dC

  5. yeah i already connected the start pins, and i did install the standoffs.
  6. Hey guys So I recently built my computer last week and I came to find out that my PC wasn't working. I made sure all my cables were plugged in correctly, but my computer would not turn on at all. I assumed it was my power supply at first because the fan wouldn't even turn on. Before I sent it back in, my dad told me about the paperclip method to test out if my PSU was actually dead. I inserted both ends of a paperclip into the 15 and 16 pins of a 24-pin connector, and the fan started spinning. That's when I thought that I probably didn't have all the cables connected securely. I took my PSU and put it back, making sure that ALL the cables were connected correctly and turned it on, but it still wouldn't turn on. I'm thinking that it's my mobo that's dead, but then again, I'm no PC expert. This is my first time building, so it really could be anything. Any help would be appreciated. <3 If you care to know what my parts are, here's the list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7MZwBm Thanks!
  7. It's okay, I mean I'll get Windows 8 if I really have to. But I prefer Windows 7 always!
  8. Hey. I need a list for a 900 dollar PC. I will do mostly gaming so it is pretty straight forward. I only need the tower and the OS as of now. -I will probably not overclock, but I don't want the noisy loud stock coolers -I will run 1 monitor as of now but there's a possibility of 2. -I will need a noob-friendly case with cable management and good airflow -I would want Windows 7. -I live in the US. If you could help me I'd appreciate it.
