  1. I'm trying to remember the name of a LTT sponsor from a video, it was about a website that allows you to share your financial profile, and the more people that follow your profile, the more money you would get. THey were not really a recurring sponsor, and I would much rather try to find it here than to dig through a ton of vids.
  2. DO NOT USE PLASTIDIP ON A KEYBOARD. It will peel. I made a really comprehensive painting guide here. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/205502-the-proper-way-to-paint-your-pc-stuff/
  3. The G710+ is really your only option. O-Rings arent that expensive or time consuming to put on, and it really opens up your possibilities. I think there is also a TKL Quickfire board with browns and O-Ring's too.
  4. I just redid my image. I just need to decide what one is best. For those of you that don't recognize me, I am usually in the Peripherals Sub Forum helping people with keyboards. The only difference is on the border of the Red Square and the Grey Line. Any other difference you see is from scaling. Original Grey Line Grey Line No Grey No Grey More Blk Less Blk Less Blk More Blk

    Key Caps

There are a set by Vortex. That is really your only option.
  6. The switch orientation makes no difference in feel. The Ducky Mini is a great keyboard though and is worth the pickup.

    Tesoro products

I dislike their keyboards, you are better off buying from Razer than them, and Razer keyboards suck. I have heard of sooooo many problems with their boards.

    KeyCap

Both great, I have like 10 sets, of the transparent ones. The keycaps are really nice and are a great company.

  10. The switches themselves are, but the plate usually restricts it.

ohhhh I get what you are saying now. Internet English is hard

Corsair is fine, idk where you got them from. Rosewill is a bad company. I was talking about Rosewill RGB keybaord.
  13. Nope, depending on the board, the spacebar switch can sometimes be removed. There is NO WAY on a plate to remove them without snapping the case. Believe me, I have tried MANY times, as almost all my boards are modded.
  14. Blues have a much more crisp actuation than browns, which feel mushy in comparison. The keypress may be longer (time) than browns though.
  15. I cant seem to find a way to make only one icon large and the rest small. Do you know of any software or tricks that can help me out? Edit: I am running Windows 7

    keycaps

I dislike Rosewill as a company, especially their keyboards. They only care about profits, even if it means a poor experience for the end user. A good example is the rosewill "rgb" keyboard. It only supports 221 colors with claim of 16.8. Only one color at a time (box has a rainbow). Unfinished and slow software (30s profile changes). Kahil switches. If you want to buy from them, I cant stop you. But I will try to discourage you. As they shouldn't receive your business.
  17. STAY AWAY FROM RAZER. They make terrible keyboards. They also have cheap Cherry clones called Kahil switches. Also they are not really comfortable to type on because they raised the actuation point. Also you have to deal with synapse. The K70 and G710+ are both excellent choices. If you want some more suggestions, look down in my sig. They are all fantastic boards.
  18. I can live without it. And it is much more convenient at times to have an 80% board. But sometimes it is just nice to have a numpad, and if not for the numkeys, then for macros.

    keycaps

The K70 is NOT standard, it has 1.5 Ctrl, 1 win, and 1.25 alt, Spacebar is 1.5, and Function is 1 If you want straight up blue http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=959 if you want a different scheme http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=773 The first set is much cheaper, but Vortex Keycaps are top notch, and worth it if you decide to go for them.
  20. Alot of the ABS caps have a rough finish. Just get some that do.
  21. You would need to soldier it. I haven't played around with Kahil switches, but the pins may also be in different spots, although I doubt it. The price of the switches may be the same as the price of a new board depending where you get them from. That is only for PCB mounted boards. Which is less than the minority of Mech Boards, the only other time this method is applicable is with a custom plate from a phantom or KMAC.
  22. Ya, its just like any other board. Just pick your favorite keycap set.
  23. Get a filco one. Some of the numpads actually use the same inputs as your regular numerical keys. (1) vs (num1) This can sometimes be a problem in certain applications.
