    Need help choosing bookshelf speakers for desk use for music listening, I'm looking to spend 200-500 dollars for a pair. I have the Onkyo A-9050 to power them. I will not be using them with a sub woofer and I listen to Techno and other bassy genres so bass is important. Thanks

    You should get a amp, you dont "need" one but I would get one.
