  1. A single card is almost always better than SLI. I would go for a 1080ti and sell the 1070 after prices normalize. You could sell the 1070 and game on the 970 now, and make a little money.
  2. I am contemplating purchasing the Aero 15x, and have one major question. I will be using the laptop as a daily driver but also doing some light gaming. I was curious if the 1070 model is worth it over the 1060, even though it has a 1080P 60hz display. I feel like the performance of the 1070 would be wasted, and it would affect battery life negatively. I was looking at benchmarks, and it seems like the 1060 can manage 60fps in every modern title at high settings. Thoughts?
  3. "Cheap tube amps" are not bad at all. Hell a vali 2 is fun to play with and performs quite well. A Valhalla 2 would be an adequate pair with the HD800s. I do believe OP should just buy a pair of HD800s and do the SuperDupont Resonator, making it almost identical to the HD800s for much less, but hey, modding isn't for everyone.
  4. I have 3x Dell S2716DG monitors and have just been using the included stand for now. I want to clear up some desk space though, so I was thinking about getting a triple monitor stand. The problem is most stands can barely support 27 inch, and if they can they can’t be adjusted to a suitable angle. I was wondering if I should go with three single monitor clamps or maybe roll the dice and go for a ergo tech triple monitor stand. 5. I am setting up a home theater system, and want to buy some nice speakers for Christmas. I am going to be using a Denon AVR-S510B, and a Bic America F12, but can't decide on the speakers. I am trying to make a decision between the ELAC Uni-fi UF5 Floorstanding, and the SVS Ultras. Any suggestions would be great.
  6. I would go with a 55inch LG OLED at about $1600, and spend the rest on your PC.
  7. I use both tunnel bear and IPvanish, and both are great. Tunnel bear always connects, and I never have trouble. IPvanish has some issues but the support is great. They also have great software, more servers, and phenomenal support.
  8. I have been gaming on the go more and more recently, using my laptop. The problem is, I have a relatively unportable pair of open cans with a vmoda boom pro that I have been using. I want a more portable solution that includes a mic, and sounds great all around. I am fine with wired, or wireless, whatever is portable. Comfort is important, and so is mic quality. I listen to movies, music, and game on my laptop so I would like a headset that can do all well. I also need it to be closed as my laptop gets pretty loud. Any recommendations? I have been looking at the Sennheiser Game One, and 373D
  9. For a friend, I am looking at a OLED TV and a possible surround sound system. I have pretty much settled on a 65 inch LG C7 TV, but the speaker setup is more tricky. I originally was going to tell him to go with a Dolby Atmos soundbar and sub, but the room is too tall for that. The problem is, the wiring is pretty difficult in the area he is suggesting so I wanted a wireless solution. I stumbled across the Klipsch Reference Premiere HD Wireless setup, and I love the idea. But, the reviews are generally lacking? Any ideas?
  10. I would agree that open cans are superior in nearly every way... I will look into them for sure, do you have any thoughts on the Sony MDR-1A and Audio-Technica ATH-MSR7BK?
  11. I have owned quite a few pairs of open cans, but want to buy a nice pair of closed ones for portable use. I love the sound of my 650s, and also enjoy my X2s, and am looking for similar closed back headphones. Preferably easy to drive with the ability to attach a Vmoda Boom Pro.
