  1. The end result of this video only leads me to wonder if any actual research or thought was given to this idea? It truly seems like someone had an idea and never once stopped to really think it through. The ending explanation of the video makes this painfully clear. It's as if someone saw an ad for Black 2.0 and said "I wonder if it's dark enough to black out RGB", which was a great idea. But while buying the paint, waiting for it to arrive, unboxing the paint, deciding on what rig to paint, and actually painting the rig, no thought was given regarding execution. Interesting idea, but it's obvious that no additional thought was given aside from "let's black out an RGB rig".
  2. Mobile device insurance type program. As Maslofski stated, a subsidiary of Assurant
  3. Just received the following email from Protect Your Bubble: Their website also auto-redirects to a farewell page: https://us.protectyourbubble.com/farewell.html Not entirely sure where this decision came from as this came to me as a surprise as I've heard nothing regarding this until now. I've even recently added devices to my plan and nothing was mentioned at all regarding this. I've been using Bubble for quite a few years with zero issues or worries, though I have filed a few claims, but ultimately all ended well with practically zero fighting from my side.
  4. Etekcity 6E Mouse (now discontinued) Standard Dell QWERTY plus10-key keyboard Pair of Tritton headphones (model scratches off) :-/
  5. Let's see I'm still running with a R9 270... I think it's time to upgrade a bit. In with the new right?
  6. Ever seen a commercial so enticing that you want to buy the item before you even know what it is? Yepp, I was ready to buy a backpack
  7. It's a physical card alternative to NFC and similar type ways of paying. Before paying with your phone really got big, I'd use the card in places where Android Pay, Samsung Pay, and Apple Pay were not available. And yes, the GREAT part is if you lose it, you deactivate/re-activate it right from your phone. Personally I like it, though I'm still running into a few mom and pop places that don't yet have these advanced pay features, so the card alternative was great to have.
  8. Article: http://qz.com/651903/google-wallet-is-shutting-down-its-debit-card/ Official Blog Post: https://www.google.com/wallet/card/ Well I just got the email confirming it. Google Wallet has confirmed it will be shutting down it's physical card function as of June 30th. Obviously not a big surprise. In fact, I'm surprised it took them this long to announce this. Just to limit confusion, you'll be able to pay via your Phone (NFC), but the physical card will be deactivated as of June 30th. Google is directing active card members to sign up for Amex and Simple service is they want a similar service as Google Wallet Debit Email I received about 10minutes ago:
  9. Original Article: http://www.wired.com/2016/02/googles-self-driving-car-may-caused-first-crash/ This is something to sit and read... February 14th, Valentines Day, Google's Auto Drive car CAUSED its first accident. Though it held an impressive time-frame of being quite flawless, this raises some question as to how this will impact other self-driving technologies. Additional Articles on same topic: http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/feb/29/google-self-driving-car-accident-california http://www.engadget.com/2016/02/29/google-self-driving-car-accident/ http://www.cnbc.com/2016/02/29/googles-self-driving-car-hits-municipal-bus-in-minor-crash.html
  10. Gotta admit, though I'm not openly active, I did browse the Classifieds quite a bit. Hoping they get this figured out soon. I rather like saving a few bucks buying used and helping the small guy rather than throwing money at a huge corporation.
  11. The Kova would be my pick. Looks aggressive and reminds me of a warthog. Plus an hour ago I dropped and broke my primary mouse, so it's time to look into anew.
  12. Just returned 2 monitors to Newegg after they died after 2days of use. They replaced them both BUT I had to pay shipping and restocking fee. Amazon and BestBuy gives the least hassle. Though obviously with Amazon you have to ship and wait and BestBuy you can walk into a store. Wally World is even easier.
  13. I'm currently towards the end of a totally custom build where I've basically installed a computer inside one of the underneath side panels of a rather large desk. I wanted to have a dual power button per-say. As in one functional power button on the case and another mounted on the desk. Now I've seen external power buttons/switches, but nothing that allows for 2 on/off buttons. At the same time I didn't see any header splitters or similar. So I just decided to do some wire cutting and splicing, THEN I stopped and started thinking. Maybe there's a reason why you can't/shouldn't have 2 power buttons on a computer. If it's not possible to have 2 power switches, the next thing would be a on/off toggle and a more standard on/off button that would be dependent on the aforementioned toggle being on the "on" position. Just more or less looking for feedback or a Y-adapter that will solve my desires.
  14. Me and Bluetooth have our days... I'll cut the pointless backstory and get right to the point I have an office computer (Win 7 Pro 64bit) and I have a cell phone (HTC M7). I also have a Bluetooth USB dongle. Now this is the SAME dongle I originally had on my home computer. I used to pair my phone to my computer and play audio through my computer since my speakers were connected to my computer. So I KNOW the dongle works, generally speaking. When I get to my office, I connect the Bluetooth dongle, install the drivers (Even rebooted), and I'm running into problems. I was able to pair the 2 devices so they were aware of each other, BUT right after the initial pairing, they refuse the connect. I've tried re-installing drivers and such, even moved the phone within a foot of the Bluetooth dongle and still nothing. Any help or insight would be much appreciated.
