  1. So the pump failed on my H220X (not the X2) I was within the 3 year warranty so I RMA'd it and they accepted. No need to send it back or anything. I was expecting a whole new unit since it's a AIO and all, not a custom loop or just one of their pumps etc. I hadn't messed with it either, it was completely factory. Their pumps only have a 2 year warranty fyi. I was surprised to see that they only sent me a new pump. This doesn't seem normal. My product failed, don't I expect a whole new one? Not just dump the part and have the customer fix it themselves? I'm pretty sure other makers like Corsair would have sent me a whole new unit. What should I do? Is this normal? Thanks for the help.
  2. In my sig. Well I am re-installing since when I upgraded from 16.04 to 17.04 it got really messed up. Graphics issues and unmet dependencies etc. My GPU is fine though.
  3. Yes I dual boot. I dont have a CD/DVD player. I'll try that I guess, never heard of that method before. I have a bunch of times but same thing, haven't done the MD5 hash thing though.
  4. I am trying to reinstall Ubuntu GNOME 17.04 on my machine but cant get a working USB bootable going. I have tried the internal Ubuntu USB creator, as well as ISO to USB and Rufus on Windows to no success. I have tried multiple Windows machines and drives, a PNY 128GB drive and an older 4GB Lexar one. When I select install Ubuntu (or try it first without installing) and it seems corrupted like this. Selecting UEFI or not also has an affect. Not selecting UEFI brings me to a Linux UI type window where I can select what to do. If I do select UEFI it brings me to a grub type window with the same options. Non-UEFI doesn't give me this gibberish but gives me to the readable text but it gets stuck. UEFI sometimes just gives me the error "no operating system found" - that depends on what software I use to make the drive. Otherwise its like the crap below: What am I missing? Getting the ISO from the official Ubuntu GNOME website so I dont think its that. Also have tried 16.04 LTS and 17.04 and it does the same thing so its not a 17.04 problem. Thanks a lot.
  5. So I downgraded to Chromium 55 and google sites now load but I can't watch videos/play music (in the cases of youtube and play music) so the same sites are still broken but in a different way. WTF?! Advice?
  6. What do you mean by this? And why is it relevant? Hmm. I tried to install a older version with synaptic package manager using force but it didn't work. Anyone know where I find older .debs? Like 55, or 53? Looked around and couldn’t find any. Just outdated repositories.
  7. Hey guys, So after a recent Chromium update I have been having issues with Chromium (version 56.0.2924.76). Right now the main issue is that it refuses to load most google sites such as play.google.com or youtube.com etc. Other sites work just fine. I have reset all my settings, disabled all my extensions and have logged out but to no avail. I can't even re-log back in since accounts.google.com is also blocked. Firefox on Ubuntu has no issues and neither does Chrome on Windows 10. I have also tried reinstalling Chromium but that hasn't worked either, and I haven't been able to install a earlier version. I have tried changing my wifi from the 5ghz to the 2.4ghz versions as well. None of the other computers on the same network are having these issues (and no one else is running Linux). Restarting does nothing either. Here are some screenshots, you can see the full error given:
  8. Yea. So my new plan is to buy the exact motherboard used. Idk see why I should be throwing a bunch of money (aka 990FX) toward a platform I'm likely going to ditch in a year. RIP AMD SB950, you failed!
  9. They're good. It is still working but a new interesting issue has arisen. Now when you turn it on after the bios screen it just goes to a black screen with the white line blinking in the top left corner, doing nothing. But when you go to the bios and manually select the boot drive it takes you right to the linux grub menu where I can choose my OS, like it used to automatically I think you nailed it on the head with the sata controller. Now I have to do its own job for it. HOWEVER it is still working so I'll see how it goes.
  10. Soo its working right now. Remember when I unplugged an HDD it gave me a PCIE GPU error? Well I discovered that the buried cable around back had become loose. Replugged it and it is working with all drives. I'm not sure if this explains the random shut off's though. What do you think? The CMOS battery is dead since it doesn't remember bios settings after AC power loss. But that alone shouldn't cause the random shut off's while running.
  11. Yea I was looking at the ASUS M5A99FX Pro R2.0, it's basically the nice 990FX version of mine. Will do.
  12. Yea I know such a random error to popup for just unplugging a hard drive. No I have not.
