    Unraid Cache nvme recomendations

What about these? https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Ny22FT/corsair-mp510-960gb-m2-2280-solid-state-drive-cssd-f960gbmp510 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/pxKcCJ/crucial-p1-1tb-m2-2280-solid-state-drive-ct1000p1ssd8 is all qlc flash bad or just intel's implementation of it? And if I am running 2 (or maybe 4) in raid 0 would I see any real performance difference from a 970 evo when I am limited to a gaming computer running one 970 evo with a 10gbe connection?

Those seem awesome, but I'm looking to use m.2 with around 1tb capacities. I would like to either use 2 from a ryzen board when I upgrade in a few months or use something like the ASUS Hyper M.2 X16 https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07NQBQB6Z/?coliid=I1FIJ3LOONNSQG&colid=2M42WAC6LYENY&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it so I can expand without taking up more than one pcie x16 slot. I have some gpu's and lsi cards that need the majority of my pcie slots.

I have had a bad experience with an Adata nvme stick that overheated and died next to my 1080Ti in my gaming computer so I've learned to make cooling and reliable hardware a priority.

    Unraid Cache nvme recomendations

Both I guess, my server uses the cache to run dockers like Plex for metadata and I have a share that is cache only for moving whatever steam game I am currently obsessed with over to it and it is also used for Sonar\Radar and importing files to the server. When the mover's invoked at night it moves what needs to be moved to the array. It could be writing all day if some new shows drop, or it could be doing nothing for a week.

Here Linus says that the 660p is great as long as you use it for it's intended purposes. He specifically says it shouldn't be used as a cache. So my question is this, what should I use as a cache? I have a 10gbe connection to my home server and I run 2 250gb Samsung 860 evos in raid 0 as my cache at the moment. So far it's been great however I want to replace them with something larger, maybe 2 1tb nvme drives so I can regain some sata power and data cables for spinning drives. But if I am going to that expense I might as well do it right. So what would you recommend?
  6. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. Ryzen 7 2700x https://pcpartpicker.com/user/12Sulljo/saved/sWv9Jx I may also get a 3000 series cpu in the future which I hear is more ram speed dependent
  8. Is the difference in frequency even worth all this effort or is 3066 fast enough? I'm fine with spending the money on a new kit if it means a performance boost that is worth it. Either way I would like to have 32 gb I'm just wanting to make sure that when I spend more money I am getting the best bang for the buck
  9. Ok so I have some G.skill trident RGB ram (2x8) at 3000mhz. I have managed to get it up to 3066mhz but I can't seem to get it any higher, I'm not very experienced in manual overclocking. So my question is this, I would like to have all 4 slots filled but I am wondering if I should sell the kit I have and buy a 3200mhz kit of 4x8 or should I get another 2 stick kit of what I have and overclock it higher. But I don't know if 3200 is above the expectations I should have for this ram.

    black PCB 10GbE Card

It looks like startech has some as well but when you can do the whole sfp thing for $100 for both computers it really doesn't seem to make sense to keep the colors with the cost difference. Maybe Plastidip on just the top of the card would be worth a shot. https://smile.amazon.com/StarTech-com-10G-Network-Card-Multimode/dp/B01273K570/ref=sr_1_16?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1539274684&sr=1-16&keywords=sfp+card https://smile.amazon.com/Port-Express-Gigabit-Ethernet-Network/dp/B00LPRS36K/ref=sr_1_14?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1539274684&sr=1-14&keywords=sfp+card

    Small business website blocking.

So I found this application that does the host file trick, I think this should work for the most part. Thank you all for your help, showing me the host file method helped me refine my searches. https://www.wintools.info/index.php/url-blocker

    Small business website blocking.

If an employee is messing around in the System32 file then there are bigger issues going on than surfing facebook. I don't think they would ever figure it out if we blocked it that way, however is there a software that could automate this for the guy I'm setting this up for, I don't think he would be comfortable messing with code. If there was a simple exe that let him type in a web address and do a basic block it would be good enough.

Maybe I should rephrase, I'm looking for a simple software that I can show an old person how to setup to block websites as the problems appear, something where if a new site came out two years from now that replaced twitter and instagram he could just add www.twitter2.com or whatever to the software on each machine to block it. If an employee is running specialized software to get around it or even loging into the software and changing it then its a management issue at that point.

All three computers run in a work group and one of them acts as an sql server so I'm not sure if that will break anything or not.
