  1. That's the least of my concerns; friends watching broadcasts is pretty unusual, I just threw that in there as I noticed it had unplayable FPS last night when a friend did watch me play.
  2. Okay, so first up is my specs: Intel Core i7 4790(non-k) XFX R9 390 8GB 16GB Samsung RAM Samsung 256 GB SSD ASRock H97M Pro4 Motherboard so clearly my specs shouldn't be the issue. But I picked up CSGO for the first time in probably like 3 months (since then I had upgraded my PC) and now I get really shitty fps. Like it's unplayable when smokes are thrown at me, and when a friend tries to watch my broadcast, it's unplayable as well. When playing, my GPU heats up for about 80 degrees, which seems pretty high so I thought it was thermal throttling. But in games like Battlefront or Fallout 4, my GPU goes to that temperature and I don't suffer from FPS drops at all. It's really strange and I want to be able to figure this out. Thank you!
  3. Is Battlefront really dead on PC? A buddy of mine said this to me the other day and it didn't seem right.. but looking up player counts it appears so.
  4. Okay so the situation I'm in right now is like this.. I normally play games like League and CS. However, I love games like Fallout and CoD Zombies and games like Battlefield, Battlefront, etc. I currently have $33 in Steam Wallet which I have had no idea what to do with for a long time. I could buy the Black Ops 3 digital deluxe for $47 right now on Steam thanks to my wallet funds. The digital deluxe ensures I'll have future DLC for zombies and MP maps, etc. Or I could buy Battlefront which is not on sale right now. Both games are great and I'm thinking I might like Battlefront better, but CoD is not normally a game that goes on sale very often and I think it's quite a steal for the price I'm getting it at. Should I get BO3 now and wait till Battlefront goes on sale (and not to mention gets updated with more content, which is something that needs to happen)? I'm not sure! Help!
  5. It seems as if the hate is mutual, Fallout 4 seems to hate AMD cards and AMD cards seem to hate Fallout 4 D:
  6. They were released actually a day or two ago, I downloaded them first thing. The performance increase is quite minimal, if any at all. Hopefully the Crimson Drivers will boost more performance, those should be released soon as well.
  7. Are there any risks of overclocking my RAM? I have never done it, and am worried it might fry my motherboard or something, as it's not the nicest ram. I have 16gb of some 1600MHz Samsung RAM.
  8. Thank you for a straight answer. And Yes I know AC will run like shit but I love the game anyway. I will wait for the new drivers and hopefully I will have my money's worth with my card. I really didn't want to trade it away, I've always been an AMD guy and I just bought the 390!
  9. Are they coming out tomorrow? I was not sure how long it was going to take. If it helps my performance then I will definitely have no issues keeping my 390, as I know it performs better than the 970 in almost all respects.
  10. Fallout 4 is going to be my most played game for probably the next year or so. That, along with Star Wars Battlefront, and AC Syndicate will also be played some. Is it worth it to look for a trade for a 970? I know for a fact Fallout 4 will run way more smoothly on a GTX 970 RIGHT NOW. But is it worth it to wait to see if AMD drivers help my performance? (The beta driver just released doesn't help much)
  11. I have an Intel Core i7 4790(non k), an AMD R9 390, and 16gb of RAM with Fallout 4 installed on a brand new SSD. I lag in cities and get low framerates, even with AA off and Anisotropic filtering off. Should this be happening or is there something wrong? I'm also only playing at 1080p.
  12. If you really want to learn just commit yourself. watch YouTube videos, look things up on forums. Do your own practice programs. I didn't realize all this stuff was necessary to learn a language, and I mean really LEARN, until my first semester of college. The school environment does make it easier to commit yourself to it, I will say however.
  13. I did actually try a couple times but never kept it there. I got it to around 3.8 GHz stable but I had a rather low end power supply so I only ran it there for about a week before I start getting scared my computer would blow up! lol
  14. I believe mine was an HP Elite 8100 Desktop. It was the same small form-factor BTX type machine though. I did the same thing, upgraded it to the point where the CPU was the only original component of the build. That old i5 lasted me about 4 years though without overclocking!
  15. Oh man this brought back so many memories. This was my first computer like 4/5(?) years ago. I thought it was a micro atx board inside.. boy was I surprised when I found out it was BTX and didn't fit in any cases. I still salvaged the old Intel Core i5 650 inside it though. It lasted me many years!
