  1. @LinusTech My childhood trauma was watching 2001 and planet of the apes too early. I don't even think I watched all of them, and I remember next to nothing. I have refused to ever watch them again. (I know that's stupid, but thinking about them gives me the heebeegeebees.) Now I can't help but associate the science fiction genre with horror. I know it's not all horror, I watched some stuff I like, but I just associate it with horror, which makes me rather reluctant to watch or read Sci-fi. It doesn't help that I sat down to watch Prometheus without knowing it was part of the Alien series, and by the synopsis I had read I thought it would be an interesting movie about alien culture. How wrong I was.
  2. Yeah sure, and I mostly do too. And in-ear earbuds when I'm on the go. I'm just sad about it and wanted to see if anyone had any answers/ideas.
  3. My Eskuche Control have a sortof double headband, and they are definately comfortable and I can wear them for a few hours, but I thought that was more because they are on the ear. It might be the headband, but I just always feel that preassure around my ears especially, when I wear over the ear headphones. And it usually get's better when I just take them off the ears even if I just move them behind and leave the headband on. I definitely feel like it's about the earpieces rather than the headband, though it might be both. And I might be completely wrong.
  4. I added some at the end of my post after I posted. Other than that I honestly can't remember, I just know that over the years I've tried different ones from my friends and such. After trying some I usually decide to just give the whole thing up and that they're just not for me. Then a few years later I've forgotten how it felt, I think maybe another pair will feel different. I get hopeful and I buy or try a new pair with the same result.
  5. Hi, I've searched and seen two other threads on this. But mostly they just blamed it on too loud music or similar. Just wanted to ask again in case some people knew more or had any advice two years later or whatever. I get head pain/headache/pressure/something and nausea when I wear over ear headphones. Within minutes, not hours. And it stays a while after I take them off. It feels a little similar afterwards to when I get motionsickness from games. My head being heavy and achy and feeling slightly nauseous. It's not something I can easily ignore either. I get it a little from on ear headphones too, but I can last a lot longer with them. And I think I've gotten it from wearing headbands (the hard plastic og metal ones) too. I think it's pressure buildup or them hitting a pressurepoint or somthing. And before anybody asks, no I'm not listening to too loud music. I'm fine with earplugs forever. I can have those in for countless hours with no problem, and I don't have my volume too loud (most of the time). And we are talking minutes, not hours anyways. End result anyways is that I have never worn a pair of over the ear headphoes that I don't feel like ripping off and throwing across the room after 5 minutes. And that sucks. Anybody have any similar experiences, suggestions or something? Do you think open backed might make a difference? Edit: I am still feeling like my head is swimming, and I took my headphones off like 15 minutes ago. These ones are Audio-technica Ath-M20x. I have a pair of Eskuche Control ones that I can wear a few hours. I normally use a pair of ridiculously cheap in ear earbuds from Philips. I'm an audio peasant.
  6. What they actually still ban people from church for being gay? I'm from Norway too, but I was raised by atheist parents who kept me from any indoctrination by the school as I grew up. So I have very little experience with churches, but I really thought banning people for that was long gone. I mean I thought gay marriage was a thing here now? (not really keeping track) And I thought there were openly gay priests too?
  7. Yeah, I don't get how people can accept the concepts straight and gay but can't wrap their heads around bi or similar sexualities. It's like can't I like both chocolate and vanilla ice cream? How is that hard to understand? I even dated a guy once who said he didn't believe in bisexuality.
  8. Just wanted to say that there are more reasons than safety that people don't do sleepovers. Also, do you have to have a sleepover to make pancakes with someone?
  9. I'd LOVE to be able to speak Dovahzul. https://www.thuum.org/ has got a pretty extensive dictionary of both canon and non canon words. I wrote a short letter with it once. Of course, it's probably nowhere near complex enough to actually use it as a language. But still enough for fans to have some fun.
  10. Hi, I'm omnisexual or something.
  11. Almost felt bad when Linus realized it was the wrong way, and I sat there laughing. Almost.
  12. By definition products that have any use aren't useless. Just saying.
  13. If you've been making her laugh you're already doing good I'd say. Hanging out doesn't mean you have to be alone with her if you feel more comfortable doing it in a group. I'm an introvert too, and for me it's a lot easier to get to know people and hang out in a group at first because then you don't have to talk ALL the time. If she's interested in you she probably wants to talk just the two of you though, so maybe chat casually, get to know eachother by asking some questions and just talking about whatever interests you. When I want to talk with someone alone and in person I favour coffee dates. I think it's totally okay to go on a coffee date even if you barely know the person. If everybody involved is mature and able to take stuff seriously a coffee date is not a big deal, it's just a convenient way to be alone but in a public place and chat get to know casually with no commitment, and also to make it clear that both parties might be interested as nobody says yes to a date if they're not even open to the idea of a relationship or similar.
