RAM issue

__1

Slots 1 and 2 don't work on my Asus Z97-AR ATX LGA1150 Motherboard. I have tried numerous configurations of RAM on my motherboard after purchasing 8 more gigabytes of ram (I now have 4 4 gigabyte sticks) and whenever any RAM is in slot 1 or 2, my computer won't boot. When I turn on my computer (with slot 1 or 2 filled with any of 8 sticks of ram I have tried), the fans' lights turn on and they start spinning, a few lights on the gpu and motherboard turn on, and then after a few seconds, it turns off. This process repeats indefinitely if I have any ram in those two slots. I don't know what I have done wrong, but it has been like this since I first put together my PC.

Here are the parts of my computer:

-Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
-Asus Z97-AR ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
-Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory -now I have 2 more of the same type of ram-

Less Significant Details:

-OCZ ARC 100 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
-Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard DrivE
-Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card (dual SLI)
-Corsair 760T Black ATX Full Tower Case
-EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular --ATX
-Microsoft Windows 8.1 OEM (64-bit)
-Asus VG248QE 144Hz 24.0" Monitor
-Razer BlackWidow Chroma Wired Gaming Keyboard
-Logitech G502 proteus core

I've heard of instances where certain types of RAM don't like certain motherboards. Have you tried using different RAM from another PC?

Good idea, I'll try swapping it out with some non-corsair vengeance ram.. although replacing the motherboard seems like what I am going to have to do at this point.
