Hello everyone, I bear stark news. It's back. The monster. This monster has been a part of every folding month. And I certainly wasn't handing it an invitation. Every year, it takes many systems down. I fear that many of you have already been struck and will only realize once you look at the daily stats. It lurks silently and pounces on the second Tuesday of every given month. It is the dreaded patch Tuesday! For all of the Windows folders, I ask that you pause updates for the next four weeks. They should keep it away. Make sure to check all of your systems to see if they've been hit.

As I write, I'm listening to the latest episode of Rick Springfield's 80s show on SiriusXM. It's quite hilarious how disinterested he is.  Link 

In other news, temperatures are usually warm in my office during folding month, but yesterday things got hotter than usual. I had to leave the window cracked overnight. I can't be certain, but I think the F@H team has been slipping some ghost peppers into this batch of WUs! Such a strange cooking methodology.  

Before we take a look at the top ten, let's take a little detour and see who is fighting to break into the top 50! SirNewton400 holds the rank of 50th with 177,307,183 points. Papalpastafarian has climbed three ranks and now claims 51st with 177,167,326 points. Pastafarian is the spaghetti religion correct? lucid31 is now in 52nd with 176,960,906 points. lucid31 is returning for their fourth folding month. gigabyte__1024 has lost three ranks and now sits in 53rd with 175,512,825 points. vf1000ride, the first and only folding motorcycle is in 54th with 174,711,857 points. In 54th is explosivetnt with 165,756,061 points after gaining two ranks. explosivetnt had quite a good showing in the midweek madness and remains active. TRexFreak28 has risen from the dead and climbed two ranks and is now in 56th with 164,953,617. CapGoat is now in 57th with 164,888,452 points. I just can picture a goat with a backwards cap. Livin is in 58th with 163,689,823 points. Livin is the only folder who is a part of the LTT team! ProfessorDank has climbed two ranks and is now in 59th with 154,634,023 points. Last but now least in our little road trip is Armymen! He holds 60th with 152,563,789 points. Anyone else remember those little green guys?

Now for the top ten! Things have remained quite stagnant, however there is still some room for some shakeups.

Stobin remains in the throne with 8,270,250,300 points! Stobin and his servers continue to break records. We could certainly use some of that hardware during the BOINC pent! In second is SAZrocks with 1,845,545,939 points. SAZ has certainly been showing us how to rock it! Rounding out the podium is miker07. Miker slightly outproduced SAZ today. I wonder if this will continue. Anyway, Miker holds the rank with 1,672,324,689 points. Justaphf remind safe in fourth with 1,422,151,088 points. Mxyzptlk also is holding steady. Mixie remains in fifth with 1,080,715,117 points. It is so impressive that all of the top five folders have earned more than a billion points. We are only eleven days into the event! lightmaster is in sixth with 963,237,690 points. lightmaster will likely hit a billion points tomorrow. Gorgon is in seventh with 770,743,753 points. Chachunka is in eighth and is slightly outpacing Gorgon. Chachunka holds the rank with 684,625,582 points. In ninth is Shlouski with 647,475,695 points. Shlouski looks behind nervously as Koeger quickly approaches. And finally, we have the honourable gatekeeper Koeger holding the post with 635,375,175 points. 

CoffeeKeeper remains on the move! He produced an additional 52,477,096 points today and climbed +30 ranks to 65th. CoffeeKeeper has his eyes on the top 50 and is approaching fast. Zacxen is on the climb once again gaining +25 ranks landing in 152nd.  ItTakes2ToMango is showing us how its done climbing another +20 ranks to 293rd today. rcarrascosa is another repeat climber gaining another +11 ranks today landing in 235th. grillmaschine is also cooking up some ranks and is now in 275th after climbing +9 ranks. Pikatchu and Kiln0063 are now in 143rd and 297th after climbing +8 ranks. FredyBobJoe also climbed +8 ranks and is now in 121st. Anyone else read this name in a southern accent? Climbing +8 ranks to 309th is pinnij. And gaining +6 ranks is Dojolego, Cow-Man, syllal, FKNSoaryn and Pugnax Lupus. Our looser of the day is @RollinLower dropping ten ranks.  Not again! 

In total the team produced 4,673,745,326 points today. That's a bit less than yesterday. Hopefully we can get those numbers up again and have another five billion point day! That all adds to the event total of 41,841,273,171 points and 98,316 work units.
