Deep Thought (The second most powerful computer in the universe)
Mindtrick replied to Mindtrick's topic in Build Logs
Thanks! This has been a year-long process, which saw the first iteration of this build in a Corsair 900D. Please, for God's sake, DO NOT BUY a 900D!!! That case is a piece of crap!!! In any case, I had to buy the fans in a few batches due to their rather high cost. -

OK, Some of you guys are missing the allusion to "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". The Computer in that novel is called "Deep Thought". When it is turned on, it tells everyone it is the second most powerful computer... but it will design the MOST powerful computer...The Earth... My use is a tongue-in-cheek reference, because I'm a Douglas Adams fan. -

All of the cables will be re-done. I'm going to order extensions soon. The two res' are actually two loops. The GPU loop is on the 560 rad, and the CPU/MOBO block is on the 480 & 240 rads. -

The LED's are actually UV. The coolant is actually UV reactant. The effect won't work without the lights. -

I have all three connected to the top card.

I don't remember the exact cost of only the fittings, but I have about $1200 in this loop. That includes blocks, radiators, pump, and fittings.

GPU Serial vs parallel tube question
Mindtrick replied to NE0XY's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
I am running a setup with option 2. Works fine, just as Jayztwocents said. -
My mobo was bad from the beginning. Just got the replacement, and new benchmarks are quite better. Unfortunately, my CPU is still from a crap batch. Firestrike: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/4595215 Firestrike extreme: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/4595485 Firestrike ultra: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/4595665

[Build Log] Rampaging Titan - Update 5 - Case and Front Panel
Mindtrick replied to Dimmick's topic in Build Logs
I'm running the same rig, only 5960x instead, and I'm getting 40's to 90's FPS in world of tanks, running x3 ROG Swifts. It is an amazing experience. I may, however, add a third Titan X just to bump up past 60 fps. And don't worry, Gsync works on all three monitors. -
What are your thoughts on refurbished items by razor
Mindtrick replied to Rokin's topic in Peripherals
I own: Blackwidow ultimate (2011 model) Blackwidow ultimate 2013 Blackwidow ultimate Chroma (X2) Naga Epic Naga Epic Chroma Naga 2014 Ourobourus Mamba Orbweaver Black Shark Kraken Forge Hammer head pro Leviathan I'll admit, I am a bit of a Razer fanboy, but I have yet to have any problems. If I did, I would have NO problem dumping Razer for another quality brand.- 8 replies

EVGA 780TI Classified Water cooling block confusion
Mindtrick replied to stillapunk's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
I can verify the EK 780 Classy block fits the 780 ti classified cards. Before I bought my Titan X's, I ran two 780ti classifieds. I used these very blocks on them. They work well. Temps in 30's to low 40's °C.- 20 replies

I've been running this for the past thirteen months. It's rock solid, and I highly recommend it! ASUS RT-AC68U Wireless-AC1900 Dual Band Gigabit Router IEEE 802.11ac, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA25V2SC3256
