Modem and Router problem

loepa

Let's say I'm using my internet. Both my modem and router is ok, no problem at all. But all of a sudden, out of the blue my internet dies. But my adsl is still on. All my cable are ok and connected. BUT I CAN'T access my router and modem at all in any way. Not even with cable nor wi-fi.

If that happens all I can do is reboot both of them. After I reboot them I can use the internet and access both of them like nothing happened.

This has been happening to me for years.

I'm connected directly by cable to modem and I still can't access both of them. Even if i swap my connection to my router it still doesn't fix it.

*FYI my modem is 1 week old and my router is 1 year old.

When you say "this has been happening for years," do you mean it occurred with other routers/modems on the same provider's connection?

Yes it is. This is the third modem I had and the first time I use router.

What is your ISP and the make/model of your equipment?

My ISP is telkomspeedy (Indonesian). My modem and router are both TP-Link.
