Help spending 300 - 350 USD on Black Friday/Cyber Monday for a new Mobo + Processor [SOLVED]

Yurim6

Black Friday and Cyber Monday is a great way for me to save a lot of money on computer parts, and I believe it's time I should upgrade my CPU and Motherboard, what do you guys think I should go for?

My opinion is to get an i5-4690K for $209.99 USD

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KPRWB9G/ref=psdc_229189_t2_B00J56YSLM

And for my motherboard the ASUS Z87-A for $84.99 USD

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132076

But since I'm not all that proficient at shopping for parts as most of you guys, should I change the parts I chose or should I get other parts?

Also, should I get an aftermarket cooler? since the cold is already here it can be any price really, I think the 10-20 degree weather will make

cooled for awhile.

Your selections are good, the Z97-A is a solid unit and the 4690K is a very popular CPU for good reason. You don't have to pick up a CPU cooler now, but I would recommend it if you want to overclock. If you don't want to spend too much, the Raijintek Ereboss Core and a 140MM Bitfenix Spectre or Fractal Silent Series R2 will do nicely. If you can't find the Core, the normal Ereboss will do (though the red fan is a bit.. red.) Maybe a Hyper 212 EVO, but it's a bit overused while not being the best solution for $30-$40.

Main Rig: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X | RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) KLEVV CRAS XR RGB DDR4-3600 | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX | Storage: 512GB SKHynix PC401, 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus, 2x Micron 1100 256GB SATA SSDs | GPU: EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra 10GB | Cooling: ThermalTake Floe 280mm w/ be quiet! Pure Wings 3 | Case: Sliger SM580 (Black) | PSU: Lian Li SP 850W

Nice to know I made a good selection! I couldn't find the Rajintek Ereboss Core so I'm probably going to check out the Hyper 212 EVO. I'll see what I can find!
