Spongey characters in multiplayer games - I really don't like them

Am I the only person who really, really doesn't like it when characters in some online multiplayer games (things like LoL and TF2 some to mind) are massive damage sponges? I mostly play/watch FPS (BF and CS), in which enemies die very, very quickly. As I am used to how these games work, this makes me feel somewhat frustrated when I try to play or watch people play League, for example, where enemies might take a good 30 seconds to a minute to take out, by which point they'll have ran away anyway. Even minions seem to take ages to kill - I'm just sat there going "die already!" when it takes more than a second to kill something. This isn't at all an issue with any of my friends (may of whom play LoL) - is it just me being strange or what?

EDIT: reworded slightly for clarity

This just means you aren't very good at the game. The health isn't that low. You just need practice. CS health isn't low at all in my opinion, and from watching Battlefield, it doesn't look low either. These games are about situational awareness and knowing where your enemy is going to be, and your personal skill/accuracy.

I should be studying.

Tbh, i don't consider that as being "spongey". To me, being "spongey" is like those muppets who play Counter Strike with terribad rates, or they join a server where their ping is over 100. Playing CSS during they day you get a couple russians who are dubstepping all over the map, and around midnight/early hours of the morning, you get americans doing the same.

And as for characters with high HP pools / damage mitigation, if you go full damage dealer you shouldn't have much of a problem, unless you have a dribbler team that have fed the enemy team a lot.

Btw, nice avatar - i'm more of a Hanako/Lilly fan.  :P

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

I didn't word the OP very well, looking back. I get frustrated at the crazily long amounts of time it takes to kill someone in LoL, since I'm used to the near-instant deaths in FPS ('spesh with dem AK headshots).

I'd still say that (from what I've seen) even the most damaging champions take FOREVER to slay their enemies, compared to how the games I play work.

And yeah, Misha is my lesbian waifu

You should try playing Tryndamere in LoL, and go full AP (been a while since i've played, think that's the stat which increases auto-hit damage) and you can end up one/two shotting people, and with some lifesteal you can practically heal yourself to full with each swing that hits. And that invulnerability move - i remember when i wiped out all 5 enemy players, the last one i chased into his summoning portal, killed him and got away thanks to that ability.
