  3. Dear all, I am living in a place and have some difficulties getting a good internet connection, for now i use powerline adapters but they drop out from time to time and when there are 2 clients active on the connection it is like going back to 1995. I uploaded a picture of the situation where i would need a connection stable enough and with decent speeds. all the red lines are bricks walls with thickness of 25 to 30cm and the 2 blue dots are where the isp connection arrives and where it should end. I have been thinking using a sort of mesh system cause i can still hide those in the general spaces but ideal would be 1 at the isp side and other one inside at the router/wifi point. airMAX NanoStation M2 would this be a great option for me to cover the distance 35 to 40 meters with the walls? catch line is there is no option in a million years to drill holes in the wall to put a cables and they cannot be in sight outdoors, the landlord is very strict about this. i am open for all kind of suggestions with a budget of around 400 euro.
  4. wow short distance and big screen now i can sit even closer without damaging my eyes
  5. Hello all, Appologized in advance for bad spelling and english. Recently my psu died inside my pc. after a shutdown i could not boot my pc again. I used my metertools and there was no power comig from the psu so i decided to take a look at it. First thing i saw was a broken capasitor i changed it and when i jumpstart the psu now it powers on and every cable gives the right amount of power. But now when i hook up my pc to the psu and connect everything my pc will not boot and psu is not turning on. What can there be more broken in te psu so that i can still make it work. I have lile 4 psu laying around good for spare parts so thats why i want to fix it myself. Kind regards gylmir.
  6. why worried about conductive they already conduct since they are made of sort of metal
  7. i haven't done this before but it is possible. if you use a potentiometer between the fan power and the rpm meter you can set the max rpm of 12v to what your fan max speed is. and from the moment you drop down the voltage the rpm meter will go down to. or the opposite if you want to have some hardcore profile if you put them on full speed to get the meter go all the way up to 35 and silent mode lower, it will not give an accurate rpm but then its more for show.
  8. can't there be a sticky post in this forum with answered question its like the 50 times somebody ask about spraying heatsinks even linus made a video about it. a sticky note in this forum and a search for everybody so we don't have to answer every question 15 times. yes heatsinks can be sprayed what ever you want. yes it will performe less but only about 2 or 3° celcius yes it will void your warranty.
  9. just use a key switch when you turn the key it is possible to turn on the pc its like you need to press 2 button to boot it up
