Hyperx Cloud Alpha Mic not working

I just bought the Hyperx Cloud Alpha headset and the audio is working perfectly, but no sign of the mic. Everything is plugged in, it isn't muted, and the headset is brand new. I have no idea what to do.

Have you tried contacting HyperX support? Sounds stupid I know as you're coming here for help but HyperX know all of the bugs and stuff of their products.

No I haven't but they would just redirect me to the faq where it 'solves' this problem by saying its the audio drivers fault but has horrible directions on how to uninstall and reinstall realtek audio.

update it took me a hour but i finally redownloaded the drivers and no change at all
