Powerline Suggestions

Howdy!

Anyone have some vast experience in the powerline realm?  I just need a quick backhaul through my house while I run some MMF for 10gig between my office and garage 42u rack.

I picked up a couple of the Trendnet 1200AV2 adapters but real throughput in my environment is about ~70 mbit.  I don't mind spending a bit for 'more', the current environment traverses a couple breakers but probably a max distance of 100 ft.  If there's a kit that significantly outperforms others I'd be interested.

I did have a wireless uplink via Ubiquiti on some of the wave2 APs that netted around 200 mbit, although one of them seems to have failed and I'm not sure if it's a result of utilizing that feature continuously (rip 2018), but pending RMA.

- Why multi-mode fiber?

- Powerline doesn't really give high speeds plus they are quite prone to electrical noise. Definitely won't get a full gigabit through there.

I have a bunch of high end gear (Cisco 4500-X, a few decent servers like in the sig, etc) and MMF is more cost advantageous than SMF and definitely over 10g copper, with support up through 100GbE via OM3 or better.  Basically just need fast connectivity between floors for iSCSI and Samba traffic.

Not expecting gigabit, I'd be happy with 200 mbit or better but understand the limitations of my environment and the technology  :D

Hadn't had too much exposure to them but it's the most convenient option for me while I dig around in the attic.
