Silly help needed. (non pc)

OK so I desperately need some help. 

 

I have an amp hooked up to my tv but it's in a closet stacked with the turntable etc. 

 

Now I use  a mirror to reflect te signal but the door has to be open ofc. 

So I made a small hole letting me keep the closet closed. 

 

Now the issue is the hole is slighty to high but I couldnt go any lower due to the doors hingen. 

 

I added reflective tape so it works if I point at the hole, no matter distance or angel. 

How ever if I use the mirror from the couch it doesnt work. 

 

Any help welcome.

They make IR redirectors by the way.

Basically it lets you put a tiny "receiver" somewhere outside, and then you tape the "emitter" over the hole in the amp, and then it'll "redirect" the IR signal to the emitter. 

 

They work well.

Yep, I used to do home AV installation so we used them all the time. (Rich people like to have their DVD player/satellite box hidden.)  I just did a REALLY quick google search, so make sure you search around some more for possibly better deals. Some audio receivers even have a plug in the back to connect one of the "IR receivers" without the need for the box thing.
