I recently purchased a used Xeon E3 1220 along with board for 3000 INR($40) which I think is a steal. It is quiet an upgrade from my Pentium. Now I am trying to pair it with a new GPU. I am thinking to go with any mid range cards around 10000 INR($100-$120) so that I play some AAA games with decent frame rates @ 1080P. I am thinking of 1050 or 1050Ti (priced at 15000 INR ~$200 just out of my budget but can manage if nothing fits below that) but I believe may be a overkill. So help me choose a Graphic Card for my build.

CPU : Xeon E3 1220

Board : S1200BTS

RAM : 4 + 2(will be upgrading to another 4 soon) dual channel

GPU : GTX 210

PSU : CX750

I know these parts a little here and there but I salvaged all these from different places and previous system. Now I really want to get this to life. And also how long can I expect this build can stand ??

You could get a used 1060 for those 200 bucks. If you want to save a bit of money, you PSU could handle a 780.

Also I'd make sure to check if your CPU can OC. That should give you a bit of a boost.

I couldn't find a used once here in India. Not even a 970 or 960.

What do you have then?

Used market is a bit of scarce here. So I was going for a new one. Doing the math, the new GPU(1050Ti) comes around double the price of all the parts in my build and I wonder pairing a new expensive(comparatively) GPU with a nearly 10 year old CPU does make any sense ?

Would make more sense to get it used, but they do fit together nicely.  How much ram do you have in there?

I was thinking the same thing - to get an used one. But as I said, I couldn't find any. So the 1050Ti sound good ? I have 4+2 currently, ordered a single 4 Gig one yesterday that makes 8 Gigs in dual channel

Yeah, it's good. The PC would be solid overall.
