benchmark How to Benchmark games?

Hi friends.How do you make benchmarks of games? That is, in the sense of things must be taken into account when doing it, if they perform the tests in a long or short period, if they repeat several times or do not repeat, etc. Also, do you recommend msi or fraps? And how much bench time with Fraps should it be?

Are you talking about a test to see how well the game runs on hardware, how well the hardware performs, or both?

Both of them. Something like the people who publish their bench in YouTube, their methodology.

I'd measure FPS, temperature, and CPU and GPU usage. To get a good idea, I'd run 3 tests of each game I'm testing, each test session running for maybe 30 minutes.

 

Some games like the Tomb Raider games, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and others have built-in benchmarks you can run as well.

What programs do you use to see the avg, min, max, 1% low fps, etc?

Benchmarking software is currently free on steam. I can't remember the name of it currently. But it's better than paying.

 

It performs both hardware and its performance.

 

Might be worth checking out.

If I have to calculate all that, I do it manually.

 

Fraps will work too.

Yeah I read it wrong. It has been a slow morning, I'll tell ya that! hahaha. My bad. My edit has the software for benchmarking that is free currently on steam.
