So I build a new gaming rig at a reasonable budget for people who have to work for their money, $600, I am sort of running windows 7 right now if you know what i mean. For that reason I am going to be running steam os and getting an intro to linux. My PC wont be near an ethernet port so it will be running on a wireless network. So what is the best Wireless Networking Card for SteamOS?

Most PCI-e wifi cards are either crap or really expensive and for that reason I'd recommend an ASUS USB wifi card. I've had one for a while and even though it can only do 150Mb its enough for casual gaming and I got it for $20. Plus you can use it as a WIFI router/access point.

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

Isn't it the exact opposite ?

Anyway SteamOS is not a good intro to linux as it has bugs and is not very new user friendly, steam works fine with popular distros such as Debian and Ubuntu + they have big communities behind them and are quite easy to get started.

Something wrong with your connection ?

Run the damn cable :)
