Keyboard and mouse "flickering"

Hey so recently ive been noticing that on random occasions when using my pc my keyboard and mouse simultaneosly start to flicker on/off and immediately become unuseable.

This used to be easier to see with my led mouse along with my keyboard led's, they would flicker in unison on/off and no matter what i plugged in or unplugged the issue persists until i hard shutdown my pc.

its a curious issue as it doesnt seem to happen with all my peripherals like my monitors or speakers and typically my pc runs completely fine!

All my drivers are upto date and if needed i can find my pc's specs.

just want to make sure that nothing is seriously wrong and im not going to damage my PC thats why ive come to the font of pc knowledge

seems like a faulty bunch of usb ports. could be that or some software issue. can you check in safe mode if the problem persists?
