Buying a New GPU

So I have a friend willing to go in on a new GPU with me, and I have been looking at the GTX 1070 TI mini from Zotac. There's also a GTX 1080 mini from Zotac with a 10% off discount, which makes it about 20 dollars more than the 1070 TI. Is the performance of the 1080 worth the extra money compared to the 1070 TI, or should I just save the money?

For $20 more than a 1070 TI? Yes. That's a great deal on a new GTX 1080. Some people might say that you can reach 1080 performance with the GTX 1070 TI, but that's only if you overclock. By default, a 1080 will match or even outperform an OC'd 1070 TI, and it will beat one even more if you OC.

Then I suppose the 1080 is what I'll go for. I'm comfortable OC'ing so I guess I shouldn't have asked
