Hello -

About 4 days ago, I built a computer from scratch. Yesterday, I replaced the thermal paste on it (I thought I had originally applied too much), but when I was installing the cpu cooler I  think i accidentally used a bit too much force, as I saw my motherboard actually bending and it made a  creaking sound.

I was wondering if my motherboard will be okay and if any damage had occurred. The system did boot up perfectly, although I keep having anxiety that there's some hidden damage and what not.

Any advice would be appreciated.

You could try stressing the cpu, that should help heat up all the capacitors, vrm's  on the motherboard if it can be stressed for long periods without any problem i doubt anything happened. You could also uninstall the whole motherboard and check if you broke anything.

Alright. I did play about 2 hours of GTA V (on maximum settings in 1080p, no less) yesterday after the incident happened. Would that count as stressing the cpu, or should I go ahead and use something like Aida 64?

Do aida 64 casue aida 64 stresses it 100% the whole time unlike in a game where some places might only use 20% or 50% or whatever percent

Alright, I stress tested my computer for a few hours and everything was A-OK. No problems or errors whatsoever. I guess it's fine then, right?
