Hi.

Today I installed the new 18.8.1 drivers from AMD. Then I restarted my PC, and when it logged in, it was in 1024 x 768 screen res. I changed that to 1080p manually.
Then, for checking, I right clicked on my Desktop and there was no AMD Radeon Settings option when right clicking.
I then checked the Display Adaptors in Device Manager and all I have is a Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.
My Sapphire RX 480 4 gb looks fine: Its Sapphire Logo light is on and the fans are spinning. So nothing looks bad there
I then used Display Driver uninstaller and re installed drivers (it actually recognized the gpu when I installed the Radeon autodetect software). Now I'm getting the same problem in the first paragraph.
Still can't figure out what's the problem.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

I had the same issue with the latest driver on my RX 480 Strix yesterday. After a frustrating hour of troubleshooting I figured out that the Realtek audio driver was causing my GPU drivers to fail installation.

Okay, I can't find a Realtek audio driver in my PC, mind telling me where you checked that from?
I don't think this might be the problem for me...

Maybe it's AMD's fault and not Realtek's. Just check for any audio drivers you have on your PC  in the control panel.
