4 beeps from mobo

So pretty much I decided to change the MOBO on my computer, from an AM3+ to an LGA 1155. After swapping boards, I installed appropriate connections and modules of the computer, graphics card, ram, and pretty much all the for power (aside for the front panel cables, I still have to figure out how it is arranged.) After all of this, I attempted to turn on my computer, and it powers up, but to no avail it gives me 4 beeps. Turned it off, unpluged, and I reseated the ram, after removing dust from both the ram and the ram slots. I turn it on again, and I still get 4 beeps. I do not know what to do at this point. The main point of switching MOBO's is so I can go from the AMD 6300 cpu to the Intel i7 2600 cpu (so I can play certain cpu intensive games with friends, and also for video editing)

If you have the manual for your new motherboard, look up what 4 beeps means and go from there.

I received it use unfortunately. What I do know is that it is from DELL, and Dell says its a Memory failure

Does your RAM definitely work? If you still have your AM3 system, test it in that.

Tried the RAM from my older system (they use the same type) and it still gives me that issue. There are 4 slots for the ram, but I only have 2 guaranteed working sticks. They are labeled 1-4, but in a pattern. Where do I put the ram?

Test each stick in each slot, 1-4.

By which I mean, take one stick and test it in all 4 slots. Then do the same with next, and so on until you've tested all your RAM.
