xfire 2 different cards

Good evening everyone, I was wondering if it's possible to crossfire two different radeon cards, and how, let's say exactly a 480 and a 580 both with the same amount of VRAM, could it work? and how it could be better than having a single card?

I know the clocks differ but what if the 480 was overclocked or the 580 underclocked? assuming it's possible the cards would run at x8 speed instead of x16, I think the 580 would be the primary/master and the 480 the sec/slave

Personally I'd just sell both of those cards and buy a vega. If you can't afford, go with a 1060 or 1070.

To run a 480 and a 580 together you'd have to flash a 580 BIOS to the 480 and then you could run them together; they'll sync to the clock speed of the slower card

a 1060 isn't necessarily more powerful than either card, and certainly not as powerful as vega.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

so if I have a gigabyte 480 card I'll have to flash a gigabyte 580 card bios to the 480 and it'll still work?

For an nVidia card I'd use nvFlash but I don't know for AMD cards
